Long ago, there was a beautiful, desolate place where native Karankawa Indians roamed the land, migratory birds soared the skies, and sea turtle hatchlings made their way to the Gulf of Mexico. Today, we know this place as South Padre Island! The South Padre Island Economic Development Corporation, in partnership with the City of South Padre Island celebrates the 50th Anniversary of the City’s incorporation!
