Following the aftermath of the jazz club, Ray and Pete make their way through the city under cover of night. With the reptilians hot on their heels, Pete reveals the secrets of their pursuers, as well as his tragic back story.
After being thrown out on to the street, Ray tracks down an old band mate at a jazz club hoping to get a place to stay for the night. As the night goes on, Ray consumes copious amounts of alcohol, but not even a drunken haze can blind Ray to the fact that besides the time signatures being played by the band, there's something off about the night.
Ray heads out to the suburbs to meet a doctor to diagnosis his sleep disorder. On his way back into town, he’s greeted with not one, but two life altering surprises.

In order to find out more about his would-be kidnappers, Ray takes Lynn up on her offer to do extra, or background work on a network cop show. As Ray experiences the ups and downs of working on a major Hollywood production, he encounters something so bizarre, it turns an ordinary day on set, into a surreal nightmare.
