After being thrown out on to the street, Ray tracks down an old band mate at a jazz club hoping to get a place to stay for the night. As the night goes on, Ray consumes copious amounts of alcohol, but not even a drunken haze can blind Ray to the fact that besides the time signatures being played by the band, there's something off about the night.
