Hotspot Policing webinar - Easier Said Than Done 5
Our expert panel talks about the dos and don’ts of trying to implement targeted patrols in crime hotspots . Easier Said Than Done is our monthly panel discussion about implementing evidence-based ideas. We’ve partnered with Police Science Dr and the Youth Endowment Fund to give you an opportunity to hear from and interact with professionals involved in frontline practice. We try to get beneath the surface of the research and explore the ins and outs of what it’s like to actually make it happen on the ground.  🎙️ New to streaming or looking to level up? SEBP Video Response Webinar
www.sebp.police.uk Easier Said Than Done webinar - Video Response The time it takes to get a response from police is a key determinant of public satisfaction and police performance. In recent years, forces have experimented with using video-call technology to connect callers to police officers more quickly. Rigorous evaluations have shown it to be much, much faster and popular with victims of crime. But like anything involving technology in a fast moving environment, it's not easy to get it up and running. In this episode of ESTD, we'll talk to people who have been at the forefront of the early pilots and their follow ups. We'll discuss the potential problems and solutions on the implementation journey and, as usual, give everyone the opportunity to ask the panel questions directly.

Deferred Prosecution - SEBP 'Easier Said Than Done' webinar Nr. 1
First of the SEBP & Police Science Dr webinar series on how to implement research projects or set up trials, studies and initiatives. Today, we’re speaking to a panel of experts about how to set up a Deferred Prosecution program. If you are with us live, you can post questions into the comments that we can put to the panel. Deferred prosecution is an alternative to traditional criminal justice processes where prosecution is delayed, typically dependent on the offender meeting specific conditions or completing an intervention program. If conditions are met successfully, prosecution is dropped.
