Throughout my training and practice as a physician I have come to one very disappointing conclusion: Western medicine isn’t helping people lead better lives. Now that I’ve realized this, I’ve become obsessed with understanding what makes us healthy or ill. I want to live the best life I can and I want to be able to share this knowledge with others so that they can do the same. This podcast is the result of my relentless search to understand the roots of chronic disease. I hope you’ll join me on this journey.

263. Why I Changed My Mind About Hydrogen Water (with Tyler LeBaron)

Ever wondered why a molecule as simple as hydrogen could influence everything from Parkinson's to metabolic syndrome?

We explored how molecular hydrogen selectively targets only the most harmful free radicals while leaving beneficial ones alone, making it fundamentally different from every other antioxidant supplement gathering dust in your cabinet.

The six-month metabolic syndrome study particularly caught my attention: participants drinking hydrogen water saw improvements in glucose levels, HbA1c, inflammation markers, and even lost weight – with no diet changes or exercise requirements.

Tyler breaks down why those expensive alkaline water machines aren't doing what you think (spoiler: it's not about pH), why hydrogen inhalation requires serious safety considerations, and exactly how to dose hydrogen water for maximum benefit.

And on top of all this, we tackle why this primordial molecule – literally present since the beginning of the universe – seems almost designed to work with human biology, and why megadoses of vitamins C and E can actually harm exercise performance while hydrogen acts as a fine-tuning modulator.

Ever wonder why you're exhausted despite eating well, or why your child's behavioral issues seem impossible to solve? The answers might be hiding in tests your doctor never runs.

I've been investigating functional medicine testing for years, but Evan Brand has run more than 5,000 of these specialized lab panels—putting him in the top 10 worldwide.

And what he's discovered will challenge everything you think you know about health problems.

We’re talking about:

  • Parasite infections in 80% of people tested
  • Mold toxicity reversing autism diagnoses
  • Environmental toxins in kids exceeding levels seen in the elderly

This isn't about adding more supplements. It’s about understanding why your body isn’t working the way it should.

Evan walks through specific biomarkers that reveal gut infections, mycotoxin exposure, heavy metals, and Lyme disease—conditions rarely tested for in conventional medicine but potentially driving your symptoms.

This conversation will shift how you think about root causes vs. symptom management.

What if the system that allowed thousands of chemicals into our food with minimal oversight is finally getting a major overhaul?

For years, a loophole meant for simple ingredients like salt became a highway for countless additives. I sat down with the FDA's Deputy Commissioner for Food to get the inside story on their shift from reactive to proactive.

We dive into how they're closing the 'generally recognized as safe' (GRAS) loophole, establishing a new framework to re-evaluate substances already in our food, and why ingredients like food dyes—offering no nutritional value—are facing a reckoning. Discover the critical changes aiming for a more transparent and potentially safer food supply for all of us.

Last week, I had the privilege of attending a press conference at the White House where I got the opportunity to sit down with Vani Hari.

Vani has been one of the leaders in the Make America Healthy Again (MAHA) movement, advocating for food transparency and reducing chemical additives.

It's staggering to realize we're exposed to things like 500% more glyphosate and tens of thousands more chemicals in our environment and food supply compared to many other developed nations, directly impacting why so many of us struggle with health.

In this podcast, I'm diving into these uncomfortable truths with Vanni, including insights from a pivotal new report, about this 'chemical soup.'

We uncover how these substances aren't just present, but are often engineered to hijack your brain, making the old 'calories in, calories out' mantra very misleading.

Huge thanks to Vani for taking the time to sit down and shed light on this issue.

For decades, we've beeLast week, I had the privilege of attending a press conference at the White House, led by RFK Jr., where he announced a comprehensive assessment identifying the key drivers behind the ongoing childhood chronic disease crisis.

Prior to the event, I had the opportunity to sit down with RFK Jr. for a podcast conversation focused on the root causes of chronic illness and the strategies being proposed to reverse this health crisis.

Today, American children face a dual burden of obesity and malnutrition. Autism rates have surged from 1 in 10,000 to an astonishing 1 in 31, and nearly 40% of teenagers are already on the path toward developing diabetes.

If we are to address this health crisis meaningfully, we must begin by prioritizing the well-being of our children - an essential theme of our podcast discussion.

I sat down with my friend Eric Mason from Save the Bee to talk about just how crucial these insects are—pollinating one in every three bites of food we consume and 70% of agricultural crops—while a single worker bee produces a mere twelfth of a teaspoon of honey in its lifetime. In our conversation we uncover the alarming extent of honey adulteration and contamination with substances like glyphosate and neonicotinoids, which impact the bee's gut biome in ways that echo human health concerns. And you'll also understand the immense pressure industrial agriculture, like the almond industry's reliance on 88% of U.S. managed bees, puts on these creatures, turning pollination events into 'pathogen Super Bowls.' So this discussion will equip you to better identify genuine, beneficial honey, grasp the significance of a pesticide-free foraging radius for bees, and see why their well-being is a direct reflection of our planet's health.--- --- ---If you can't get fresh heart & liver in your diet, try our 100% grass-fed desiccated beef organs at Heart & Soil: https://shop.heartandsoil.co/?utm_source=youtube&utm_medium=video&utm_campaign=Honey_EricMasonLooking for a healthy and delicious snack? In this conversation with Dr. Ovadia we dive deep into why that single LDL number doesn't tell the whole story about your heart disease risk. Because understanding your insulin sensitivity, inflammation levels, and even getting specific imaging like a CAC scan paints a far more accurate picture. So even the intense focus on lowering ApoB might be too simplistic, potentially overlooking the root causes of atherosclerosis and the significant downsides of certain medications. Hearing directly from a cardiothoracic surgeon who sees the consequences of system failures daily will honestly reveal highlights why a different approach, focused on metabolic health, is desperately needed. 254. Simple Health Solutions That Reverse Chronic Disease w/ Radical Health Podcast

In this podcast, we explore the growing health movement and the urgent need to reform our food systems. As a long-time advocate for ancestral health, we discuss the concerning influence of corporate interests and flawed medical narratives. We delve into the dangers of seed oils, which disrupt cellular function and mitochondrial health, causing metabolic issues. I share a strategy for detoxing seed oils quickly using a low linoleic acid diet. We also emphasize the importance of natural light, grounding, and ancestral practices, aligning with our evolutionary biology for optimal health.I share my 2025 "ins and outs," prioritizing real foods like meat, organs, fruit, honey, and raw dairy while minimizing EMF exposure. I advocate for whole, unprocessed foods and caution against trends like methylene blue. For me, it's always meat, organs, fruit, honey, and raw dairy – an ANIMAL-BASED diet, which I believe is optimal. This inspiring conversation encourages personal responsibility, questioning norms, and reclaiming our radical health.

253. This Will CHANGE How You See Food w/ Calley Means

In this in-depth conversation with Calley Means, we dissect the root causes of the chronic disease epidemic and explore the political forces shaping our health landscape.

This is a powerful discussion on the economic incentives driving chronic illness, the rise of the Make America Healthy Again movement, and the importance of real food. As we explore the intersection of health and politics, Calley and I delve into the concerning influence of corporate interests and the need for a return to foundational research and common-sense approaches to wellness.

We discuss how the current system profits from sickness, the dangerous rise of processed foods and the suppression of questioning the status quo. We also explore how we need more personal responsibility and real food. We emphasize the need for honest scientific inquiry into the root causes of disease and the importance of focusing on solutions that prioritize human health. It's always meat / organs / fruit / honey / raw dairy.

This is an ANIMAL-BASED diet, and I believe this is the most optimal diet for humans on the planet...
