Throughout my training and practice as a physician I have come to one very disappointing conclusion: Western medicine isn’t helping people lead better lives. Now that I’ve realized this, I’ve become obsessed with understanding what makes us healthy or ill. I want to live the best life I can and I want to be able to share this knowledge with others so that they can do the same. This podcast is the result of my relentless search to understand the roots of chronic disease. I hope you’ll join me on this journey.

258. Everything You Need to Know About Honey & Bees w/ Eric Mason
🗞️ Newsletter — Reclaim Your Optimal health: https://www.paulsaladinomd.co/sign-up?utm_source=youtube&utm_medium=video&utm_campaign=Honey_EricMason--- --- ---Find out your ideal diet with my ANIMAL-BASED CALCULATOR: https://www.paulsaladinomd.co/ab-guide#calculator?utm_source=youtube&utm_medium=video&utm_campaign=Honey_EricMason--- --- ---You might be surprised to learn that the fight to save bees is directly tied to our own health and the integrity of our food supply, especially when so much 'honey' on the shelves isn't what it seems. I sat down with my friend Eric Mason from Save the Bee to talk about just how crucial these insects are—pollinating one in every three bites of food we consume and 70% of agricultural crops—while a single worker bee produces a mere twelfth of a teaspoon of honey in its lifetime. In our conversation we uncover the alarming extent of honey adulteration and contamination with substances like glyphosate and neonicotinoids, which impact the bee's gut biome in ways that echo human health concerns. And you'll also understand the immense pressure industrial agriculture, like the almond industry's reliance on 88% of U.S. managed bees, puts on these creatures, turning pollination events into 'pathogen Super Bowls.' So this discussion will equip you to better identify genuine, beneficial honey, grasp the significance of a pesticide-free foraging radius for bees, and see why their well-being is a direct reflection of our planet's health.--- --- ---If you can't get fresh heart & liver in your diet, try our 100% grass-fed desiccated beef organs at Heart & Soil: https://shop.heartandsoil.co/?utm_source=youtube&utm_medium=video&utm_campaign=Honey_EricMasonLooking for a healthy and delicious snack? 257. Exposing The Cholesterol Myth Doctors Won't Admit w/ Dr. Philip Ovadia

🗞️ Newsletter — Reclaim Your Optimal health: https://www.paulsaladinomd.co/sign-up?utm_source=youtube&utm_medium=video&utm_campaign=DrOvadia--- --- ---Ever wonder why your LDL cholesterol might shoot up after you started eating healthier, cutting out seed oils and sugar, and your doctor freaked out? It's a common story, and the panic often misses the crucial context. In this conversation with Dr. Ovadia we dive deep into why that single LDL number doesn't tell the whole story about your heart disease risk. Because understanding your insulin sensitivity, inflammation levels, and even getting specific imaging like a CAC scan paints a far more accurate picture. So even the intense focus on lowering ApoB might be too simplistic, potentially overlooking the root causes of atherosclerosis and the significant downsides of certain medications. Hearing directly from a cardiothoracic surgeon who sees the consequences of system failures daily will honestly reveal highlights why a different approach, focused on metabolic health, is desperately needed. So if you've been scared by high cholesterol numbers despite feeling better than ever, this conversation provides critical insights and questions the conventional narrative.--- --- ---If you can't get fresh heart & liver in your diet, try our 100% grass-fed desiccated beef organs at Heart & Soil: https://shop.heartandsoil.co/?utm_source=youtube&utm_medium=video&utm_campaign=DrOvadiaLooking for a healthy and delicious snack? 255. Fake Lighting Is Sabotaging Your Natural Rhythm w/ Tristan Scott

This in-depth conversation with Tristan Scott discusses how light affects our mitochondria and hormones and the importance of limiting blue light for radical health. Ever wondered why your sleep feels off after a long day under harsh digital lights or how a simple incandescent bulb might actually nourish your biology?

In this video, I dive headfirst into what our modern light environment—think flickering LEDs, blue light dominance, and missing infrared—really does to our circadian rhythms, energy, and even our mitochondrial health. I share some eye-opening experiments that compare the spectrum of artificial indoor lighting with the natural balance of sunlight and fire, and I explain how small tweaks (from switching out bulbs to rethinking our screen habits) could transform the way we live.

254. Simple Health Solutions That Reverse Chronic Disease w/ Radical Health Podcast

In this podcast, we explore the growing health movement and the urgent need to reform our food systems. As a long-time advocate for ancestral health, we discuss the concerning influence of corporate interests and flawed medical narratives. We delve into the dangers of seed oils, which disrupt cellular function and mitochondrial health, causing metabolic issues. I share a strategy for detoxing seed oils quickly using a low linoleic acid diet. We also emphasize the importance of natural light, grounding, and ancestral practices, aligning with our evolutionary biology for optimal health.I share my 2025 "ins and outs," prioritizing real foods like meat, organs, fruit, honey, and raw dairy while minimizing EMF exposure. I advocate for whole, unprocessed foods and caution against trends like methylene blue. For me, it's always meat, organs, fruit, honey, and raw dairy – an ANIMAL-BASED diet, which I believe is optimal. This inspiring conversation encourages personal responsibility, questioning norms, and reclaiming our radical health.

In this in-depth conversation with Calley Means, we dissect the root causes of the chronic disease epidemic and explore the political forces shaping our health landscape.

This is a powerful discussion on the economic incentives driving chronic illness, the rise of the Make America Healthy Again movement, and the importance of real food. 243. Responding to Layne Norton on SEED OILS

This episode is my response to Layne’s video about seed oils. Due to the pervasive mainstream support for seed oils, I believe it’s extremely important to shed some light on the hidden truth behind these oils. There is a lot of conflicting evidence on seed oils out there. Looking at the totality of the evidence can be very misleading, so we must look at the details. By thoroughly breaking down each trial from Layne’s video, we can see massive flaws in the methods and designs of each study. Trans fat consumption by the control group and multifactorial interventions in the experimental group were the primary confounding variables. In this video, Paul references several studies suggesting different ways in which seed oils are harmful to humans. He always appreciate differing views and these discussions because it’s how we all learn. He has hope that a respectful debate will happen in the future so that we can dive deeper into this important subject. He strongly believe that seed oils are evolutionarily inconsistent, these are not the fats that humans have evolved on. In fact, we have evolved by consuming ample amounts of animal fats, rich in saturated fats. Saturated fats have been shown to lower markers of heart disease and they are an amazing source of essential vitamins like A, D3, K2, E. It's always meat / organs / fruit / honey / raw dairy. This is an ANIMAL-BASED diet, and I believe this is the most optimal diet for humans on the planet. Check out my ANIMAL-BASED CALCULATOR here: https://www.paulsaladinomd.co/ab-guide
