In this episode, Praka sits down with Chloe, founder of Minim Watches, to discuss her remarkable journey from passionate collector to watch designer. From her first ICE Watch Netherlands World Cup Edition at just nine years old, to falling in love with horology through brands like A. Lange & Söhne, Chloe’s story is one of curiosity, creativity, and connection.
Her collecting journey deepened after moving to the UK — attending RedBar meetups, appearing on Scottish Watches, and experimenting with watch photography and reviews. What began as a hobby soon became a community. With encouragement from peers like Kevin from Pedral Watches, she took the leap to design her own watch — and thus, Minim was born.
The Minim MN01 marks Chloe’s debut creation — a timepiece that bridges the traditions of watchmaking with a modern, minimalist aesthetic. Conceived between East and West, it reflects her personal journey: from Hong Kong roots to a new chapter in Great Britain.
Described by Chloe as “a meridian that connects cultures,” the MN01 celebrates balance — between heritage and innovation, artistry and precision. Every element, from the dial patterns to the assembly location, tells a story of thoughtful craftsmanship.
Drawing inspiration from Chronoswiss, Breguet, A. Lange & Söhne, and Glashütte Original, Chloe has created a neo-vintage-inspired watch with contemporary clarity. The MN01 features a 36.5mm stainless steel case, onion crown, and elegantly curved lugs — a nod to classic proportions that wear beautifully on the wrist.

In this episode, we welcome back Jody from JustOneMoreWatch & Co-owner of Erebus Watches for the first time since 2023. We catch up on what’s been happening in his world— family, life, YouTube—and of course watches!
Wrist Check
Jody is wearing the Citizen Chronomaster, while Praka has the Halios Seaforth IV on wrist.
We dive into the latest from Erebus, including five upcoming prototypes. Jody gives us the inside scoop on a 44mm diver with 500m water resistance, the Ascent GMT in a 40mm case, a highly-anticipated HAQ model that’s been in development for over a year, a dress watch with two dial variants, and a new complication piece based on a Miyota movement, ready to launch soon.
The conversation opens up to broader trends in the watch world. Jody is all in on the rise of HAQ from microbrands, while Praka highlights the growing presence of stone dials and dressier designs from brands typically known for sport watches. We also explore the role of odd-shaped cases—when they work and when they don’t—and question the real value of some recent brand collaborations. When it comes to current microbrands we’re enjoying, Ubiq, RZE, and andoandoando come up strong.
We also take a look at the changing retail landscape, as major brands return to the high street and micros gain a foothold in retail spaces like WatchPoint and Time+Tide. What does this shift mean for the independent and affordable watch space?
And of course, we had to ask—Jody, when are you coming to Perth? With whispers of more Time+Tide pop-ups in the works, we’re hopeful.
