What they had in common is that each one had something defining and directing their lives and their choices. This week we're hoping to give everyone their own glasses--lenses by which to see the world. As we see him, and grow in him, we become more and more like the person he created us to be. Hey family, we've all seen those movies where a person hits their head and forgets who they are, and the comedy that follows is a lot of fun because before the end of the movie their memory comes back and they figure out their real identity. This situation, however, is NOT fun when we've lived a life not knowing who we are. In this new series, "Identity Issues," we're going to address some of the lies that we believe and the truths that set us free. We're going to be studying through the Book of Colossians as we go through this super-important topic in our lives. We'll talk about relationships, how we see ourselves, self-talk, and interactions with ourselves, with God and with others. Hey family, in every relationship, learning how to love is one of the most difficult and rewarding aspects of that relationship.  As we've gone through this series, we've seen not only how God is love, but how he's loved us. This week we're going to learn about how God is loving THROUGH us, and how that will affect every one of our relationships: marriages, children, parents, friends, co-workers and everyone else in our lives--including our church. Hey family, sometimes when we're struggling with something, it seems like we're trying to escape from a very dark place. No matter which way we look, there are no answers to be found, and the direction we should go is completely obscured.
