Circles of Collaboration: Building Authentic Connections for Growth with Executive Coach and Author Leslie Grossman
In this episode I sit down with executive coach, professor, and four-time author Leslie Grossman to talk about the themes of her newest book, Circles of Collaboration. Drawing from her decades of experience in leadership and her upbringing in a family that modeled the power of community, Leslie shares why genuine connection is more essential than ever in our families, friendships, careers, and beyond. We discuss the unique ways women balance caregiving, connection, and career, and how these skills can become powerful strengths when used with intention. Leslie explains why women need trusted circles of support, how empathy and communication make us natural leaders, and why curiosity and authenticity always matter more than ego or desperation. She also shares practical strategies for building strong, reciprocal relationships—whether you are reentering the workforce, navigating career setbacks, or trying to avoid burnout in a world dominated by screens. From reaching out with sincerity, to moving conversations beyond surface-level exchanges, to finding balance by stepping away from technology and reconnecting with nature, this episode is filled with guidance for both personal healing and professional growth. This heartfelt conversation reminded me that none of us succeed alone. True resilience, purpose, and joy are born from connection, curiosity, and community, and small, sincere actions can change not only our lives but also the lives of those around us. No Longer That Girl: Stephanie Maley on Surviving Trauma and Reclaiming Her Voice
Trigger warning: This episode contains discussions of assault, grooming, and trauma that may be difficult for some listeners. In this powerful episode, I sit down with author, nurse, and survivor Stephanie Maley, who bravely shares her story of trauma, survival, and healing. From childhood medical trauma and abandonment to cycles of grooming, and the silence that followed, Stephanie opens up about the hidden scars that shaped her life and the long journey of finding her voice. She describes how growing up in dysfunction and secrecy left her carrying guilt, shame, and fear, while faith and spirituality became both a source of comfort and confusion. We talk about how she sought escape and strength through sports, how therapy and self-discovery became her lifelines, and how her husband’s steadfast love gave her the safety to finally begin healing. Stephanie also reflects on the transformative process of writing her memoir, “No Longer That Girl: Retracing the Scars of Past and Present”, and how movements like #MeToo gave her the courage to confront her past and break cycles of silence. By reconnecting with her younger self, she was able to finally say the words she once couldn’t: “I’ve got you. You are safe.” This conversation is raw, emotional, and deeply human. It is about resilience, courage, and the power of telling your story. Not just to survive, but to reclaim your life. Stephanie’s message is clear: You are not alone. Healing is possible. And no matter how heavy the past feels, there is hope. Reclaiming Your Life: Healing Trauma with Patience, Boundaries, and Self-Kindness with Licensed Psychotherapist, Podcaster, and Fellow Survivor Nikki Eisenhauer
In this episode I sit down with Nikki Eisenhauer, licensed psychotherapist, mental health podcaster, and fellow survivor, to explore the complex realities of healing from childhood trauma and complex PTSD. Nikki shares her courageous story of growing up in fear and chaos, carrying the impossible burden of protecting her younger sisters, and facing the painful truths of family estrangement. She opens up about how trauma reshapes our nervous systems, why healing is not linear, and the radical patience and self-kindness it takes to reclaim peace. Together, we talk about the necessity of setting boundaries, not just with others, but within our own minds to silence the relentless critical voice that keeps us stuck. Nikki reveals why finding the right therapist is vital, why sampling different therapeutic approaches is part of the process, and how no contact can be a profound act of self-love and protection. This conversation is a testament to resilience, and the unshakable belief that we can rise above our past. From PTA Volunteer to Life-Saving Leader: Heather Bellino on Finding Purpose, Fighting Abuse and Reclaiming Our Voices
In this episode I sit down with Heather Bellino, CEO of the Texas Advocacy Project, to talk about her unexpected journey from PTA volunteer to leading one of Texas’s most impactful nonprofit legal organizations. What began as a school carnival fundraiser turned into a life’s mission helping survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, and trafficking access the civil legal services they need to reclaim their lives. Heather opens up about the culture of over-apologizing among women, the quiet epidemic of coercive control, and how real abuse rarely starts with violence. It starts with love bombing, manipulation, and slow erosion of boundaries. We dive into the incredible work her team is doing across Texas, including the powerful Teen Ambassadors of Hope program equipping young people to spot red flags, speak up, and protect each other. You’ll hear an unforgettable story of a brave boy on a school bus whose courage changed a life simply because he had the right tools. Heather also gets real about how the legal system often fails victims, why civil legal aid can be the only justice many survivors ever receive, and how critical it is that we create space for people to heal without shame. From Breakdown to Breakthrough: Finding Peace After Pain With Transformation Coach and Reality Architect Marisa Hallsted
In this episode, I'm joined by the incredible Marisa Hallsted, a transformation coach and Reality Architect who helps people reconnect with themselves in powerful and gentle ways. Marisa and I dive into a deeply moving conversation about burnout, grief, and how the pain we carry, often silently can weigh us down without us even realizing it. She shares her own story of trauma, heartbreak, and the moment she almost gave up, and how that breaking point became the beginning of deep healing and self-awareness. I also talk about my personal session with Marisa. I showed up feeling scattered and skeptical, but by the end, I felt an undeniable shift. She guided me through energy work that helped me release old pain I didn’t even know I was still holding, especially the grief quietly sitting at the back of my heart. Together, we explore how childhood experiences and subconscious patterns shape our lives and how we can begin to shift those patterns with awareness, softness, and intention. Marisa shares what it means to be a Reality Architect and how we can reclaim our power by asking who’s really running the show. Is it our fear, our inner child, or someone else's voice? She also introduces her new app, Seeded Sound, which uses sound healing and subliminal affirmations to help adults and children reprogram the subconscious and find balance. This conversation is a powerful reminder that healing isn’t about perfection. It’s about pausing, listening, and choosing yourself with love. If you’ve been feeling disconnected or weighed down by something that isn’t even yours, I hope this episode reminds you that you are not broken. You are becoming. Grief Connects Us All | Compassion and Common Ground with Dr. Ken Druck (Revisited)
The following episode is a revisited episode from a previous conversation with Dr. Ken Druck that I feel is just as meaningful and relevant today as when it first aired. In this episode I’m joined by Dr. Ken Druck, a Ph.D. and grief expert, for a meaningful conversation about navigating "what now" moments. These moments can arise on a personal level or in response to larger global challenges, and Dr. Ken offers powerful insight into how we can meet them with resilience, compassion, and purpose. Hope in Hostile Times: Congressman Eric Swalwell on Resilience, Action, and Protecting Democracy
In today’s episode, I am so excited to sit down with Congressman Eric Swalwell, representative of California’s 14th Congressional District and former prosecutor, for an unfiltered, emotional, and urgent conversation about the state of our country and what it means to lead with courage and conviction in the face of chaos, fear, and division. What begins as a conversation about politics quickly becomes something far more personal and profound. Congressman Swalwell opens up about the heavy personal toll of public service in today’s increasingly hostile climate. From receiving weekly death threats to being physically blocked by protestors, he shares how he continues to show up for his constituents despite it all. He and I dive into the alarming rise in ICE raids, the erosion of voting rights, the threat of political apathy, and the real human cost of dangerous policies. Through heart-wrenching stories of families torn apart and communities living in fear, we remind listeners that these aren’t just headlines. They’re real people, our neighbors, and the backbone of our society. This episode is not just about politics. It’s about humanity. It’s about refusing to be silent when silence means complicity. It’s about staying grounded in your values even when it's hard, and finding strength in vulnerability and truth. Congressman Swalwell shares his personal mental wellness rituals, from daily runs to moments of silence, while I open up about the healing power of my daily beach walks and my mission to hold onto hope, even when it’s hard to find. With honesty, empathy, and a powerful call to action, this episode reminds us that democracy isn’t just something we inherit. It’s something we fight for. If you’re feeling overwhelmed, discouraged, or uncertain about the future, this conversation will meet you where you are and reignite your belief in what’s possible. The Art of Deep Listening: Healing Divides One Conversation at a Time with Journalist, Author, and BBC Veteran Emily Kasriel
This episode I sit down with journalist, author, and BBC veteran Emily Kasriel to explore something that feels both radical and deeply human: the art of deep listening. At a time when the world is louder, angrier, and more divided than ever, Emily’s message is a lifeline for anyone who’s ever felt dismissed, overwhelmed, or unsure how to bridge the growing gap with someone they care about. As someone who has walked through trauma, loss, and healing myself, I know how hard it is to feel truly heard and how much harder it is to listen when our emotions are high and our beliefs feel under threat. But Emily gently reminds us that we do not have to agree with someone to understand them. We just have to stay curious. Her new book, Deep Listening: Transform Your Relationships with Family, Friends, and Foes, is more than a guide. It is a call to action for empathy, presence, and connection. Drawing from her decades of research and experience training over a thousand people across more than one hundred countries, Emily shares seven transformative steps to deep listening. These are not just communication techniques. They are practices rooted in radical self-awareness. We talk about how our unhealed trauma often gets projected onto others, how silence can be a sacred space instead of something to fear, and how reflecting back someone’s truth even when we disagree can create profound shifts in understanding. I was struck by how people in her studies became less extreme in their views simply by being heard. That kind of change starts from within. This conversation touches every corner of life, from political arguments and friend breakups to mother-daughter relationships and everyday moments with strangers. Emily’s compassionate wisdom shows us that deep listening is not about fixing anyone. It is about making room for what is real. If you have ever felt too angry to speak, too hurt to hear, or too disconnected to try, this episode is for you. It reminded me that empathy is not weakness. It is one of the bravest and boldest gifts we can offer each other. Healing, whether personal or collective, begins the moment we choose to truly hear one another. From Betrayal to Healing: The Heartbreak of Friendship Loss and How to Heal with Licensed Clinical Psychologist Dr. Noelle Santorelli
This week I’m joined by licensed clinical psychologist Dr Noelle Santorelli. We get into the invisible wounds left by social rejection and toxic dynamics, especially among women. I share my own deeply personal story of a friendship that turned into covert bullying and the emotional devastation that followed, while Dr. Noelle offers expert insight into how childhood trauma, complex PTSD, and early attachment wounds shape our adult relationships and our responses to betrayal. Together, we unpack why the pain of losing close friendships can cut deeper than romantic heartbreak, how the biology of shame and the human need for belonging intensify that pain, and why so many of us stay in harmful friendships just to keep the peace, sacrificing our own worth. We challenge the stigma around “mean girl” behavior and explore how people-pleasing, social anxiety, and the pressure to perform for approval keep us trapped in toxic patterns. We also reveal how these toxic dynamics mirror narcissistic abuse and the lasting emotional toll betrayal and exclusion can take on our nervous systems. Most importantly, Dr. Noelle and I want to empower you to reclaim your voice, set healthy boundaries, and choose peace and authenticity over approval and silence. If you’ve ever felt ghosted, gossiped about, or silenced by the very people you trusted, this conversation offers hope, healing, and a reminder that your pain is valid and you are not alone. This episode is a powerful call to courage and self-love—because sometimes healing means getting uncomfortable, speaking your truth, and walking away to find freedom and belonging on your own terms. Unlocking the Secret Mind: How Your Dreams Hold the Power to Heal, Guide, and Transform Your Life With Dream Expert and Author Dr. Bonnie Buckner
This week I’m joined by the incredible Dr. Bonnie Buckner, dream expert and author of The Secret Mind: Unlock the Power of Dreams to Transform Your Life. Together we take a  journey through the unconscious, as Bonnie shares how one vivid, recurring dream uprooted her life and led her all the way to the south of France. But more than a change of scenery, it was a call from deep within, a soul nudge that she couldn’t ignore. Together, Meghan and Bonnie explore the mysterious and powerful language of dreams. From childhood nightmares to adult visions that resurface unresolved emotions, they unpack how dreams are more than just nighttime stories. They are deeply connected to our bodies, our healing, and our inner wisdom. You’ll learn why recurring dreams and nightmares are signals from your nervous system, how substances like melatonin can interfere with your ability to hear what your dreams are saying, and why paying attention to what shows up at night can unlock transformation by day. This is a conversation about the freedom that comes when we stop dismissing what our intuition is whispering. It’s about letting your soul exhale. It’s about realizing that you already have everything you need within you to heal, to grow, and to make bold, beautiful changes even if they feel scary. From The Walking Dead to Walking Away: Reclaiming Power After Abuse with Actress, Podcaster, and BFF Alliance Co-Founder Lindsay Abernathy
From The Walking Dead to Walking Away: Reclaiming Power After Abuse with Actress, Podcaster, and BFF Alliance Co-Founder Lindsay Abernathy Trigger Warning: This episode contains discussions of emotional abuse, sexual assault, and trauma. Please listen with care. This week on Judging Meghan, I sit down with the remarkable Lindsay Abernathy—an actress, advocate, and survivor whose journey takes us from the set of The Walking Dead to the harsh realities of emotional and financial abuse. Lindsay’s story is raw, real, and deeply moving. What started as a one-time favor for a casting friend became a years-long role on one of television’s most iconic shows. Yet, behind the scenes, she was living through a far more terrifying storyline—trapped in a relationship that, on the surface, seemed picture-perfect but was riddled with coercive control, emotional warfare, and financial abuse. From private jets to pawn shops, Lindsay pulls back the curtain on what it means to survive behind the illusion of privilege. She shares how her ambition, identity, and even basic freedoms were slowly stripped away—and how she fought like hell to reclaim them. We talk about the insidious nature of abuse that hides in plain sight, how abusers use money, shame, and even motherhood as weapons, and why the healing journey often begins after you leave. We dive into the trauma of being gaslit, smeared, and silenced, and the strength it takes to rise, rebuild, and speak out. Now, through her podcast Bitch Is a Bad Word and her nonprofit BFF Alliance, Lindsay is helping other women plan safe exits, rediscover their worth, and take their voices back. This is more than a conversation about abuse—it's a testament to resilience, a call to advocacy, and a reminder that healing is not just possible, it’s powerful. If you’ve ever questioned your reality, felt stuck in something that looked “good” on the outside but felt crushing on the inside, or given up parts of yourself for someone else’s version of love, this episode will leave you feeling seen, heard, and empowered. Because your story matters. Your truth matters. And you are not alone. Rewriting the Script on Grief: A Conversation on Loss and Growth with John Tsilimparis, MFT, Author and Podcaster
In this episode I sit down with podcaster, author, and MFT John Tsilimparis, to talk about one of the most universal and often misunderstood human experiences: grief. John's book The Magic in the Tragic: Rewriting the Script on Grief and Discovering Happiness in Our Darkest Days is a beautiful testament to the possibility of hope, healing, and even joy after loss. As someone who has walked through the heartbreak of losing my sister, my best friend, and my dad, this conversation felt deeply personal. We talk about what it means to stop running from our pain and instead walk toward it with grace. John shares his own story of loss and how it shaped his path, leading him to a deeper understanding of what he calls grief empowerment, an invitation to not just survive but to grow through what breaks us. Together, we reflect on the nobility of suffering, the myth of closure, and how grounding ourselves in beauty through music, nature, art, and even signs from loved ones can transform the way we carry our sorrow. This episode is not just about grief. It is about becoming a peaceful warrior. We talk about how anxiety distorts both our fears and our faith in ourselves, and how learning to coexist with discomfort can lead to unexpected transformation. You will hear practical, soul-soothing tools to help you sit with hard emotions, honor your story, and find inspiration in the midst of sorrow. If you have ever felt overwhelmed by loss, stuck in avoidance, or unsure how to move forward, this conversation is a reminder that healing does not mean forgetting. It means learning to carry the pain with purpose and allowing even your darkest days to lead you toward light. Surviving Perfectionism and Digital Overload with Dr. Mary Donohue, TEDx Speaker, Bestselling author and Mental Wellness Trailblazer
In this episode I sit down with Dr. Mary Donohue, a TEDx speaker, bestselling author, and CEO of the Digital Wellness Center, for a conversation that is both eye-opening and urgently needed. As we recognize Mental Health Awareness Month, I open up about my own journey through trauma and complex PTSD and why this mission is so personal to me. Together, we shine a light on the silent epidemic of digital addiction and the emotional toll our screen-filled lives are having on our minds, bodies, and relationships. Dr. Donohue shares the terrifying moment her body gave out from the pressure to be perfect and how surviving a heart attack became her wake-up call. We dive into the danger of ignoring everyday stress, the spiral of WebMD searches, and what happens when you live for everyone else and forget yourself in the process. But we also explore something deeper—how faith, self-awareness, and even small shifts in how we live and love can bring us back to life. We talk about the science behind digital stress, how our brains are not built for constant stimulation, and why even a few moments of mindful solitude can change everything. We reflect on how perfectionism and comparison culture are stealing joy from women and how healing often starts with grace, not guilt. This is a call to action, a soul-level reminder that you are not broken and you are not alone. Whether you’re burned out, overwhelmed, or just looking for a sign to slow down and breathe again, this episode is for you. Let this be your invitation to pause, reconnect, and remember what truly matters. The Power of Letting Go with Lenore Skenazy: Author, Syndicated Columnist and Co-Founder of Let Grow
This week I invite the amazing Lenore Skenazy—founder of the Free-Range Kids movement and president of Let Grow. You might know her as “America’s Worst Mom,” but today, you’ll discover the powerful truth behind that nickname and why her message is exactly what parents need right now. Together, we unpack the deep anxiety so many of us carry: the fear, the pressure to be perfect, and the cultural obsession with control. We explore why it’s so hard to let go, especially when trauma or past experiences have wired us to hold on tighter. But we also shine a light on the freedom and growth that come when we begin to trust—our kids and ourselves. This episode is more than just a discussion about parenting. It’s a gentle but powerful wake-up call to reconnect with the joy, creativity, and courage of childhood. It’s about loosening our grip, finding peace in uncertainty, and remembering that our kids are more capable than we think—and so are we. If you've ever questioned whether you're doing enough, felt guilty for wanting a break, or cried as you watched your child take a big step without you, this conversation will remind you that you’re not alone, you’re doing better than you think, and sometimes, letting go is the bravest thing we can do. 5 Years After Westside: A School Shooting Survivor’s Story with Mary Hollis Inboden (Revisited)
This is a revisited episode that, unfortunately, remains deeply relevant today. The crisis of gun violence in schools continues, and stories like Mary Hollis Inboden’s are a vital reminder of why we must keep pushing for change. Since the 90s, mass shootings have continued to rise in numbers. This year alone, as of April, there have been 179 mass shootings in the US—16 of which have been school shootings. Fear and anxiety have become the default for our children as we send them to school every day, knowing that their schools are not safe. Change needs to be made, and it’s so important that we continue to speak out on this pressing issue. In this episode, I discuss the heartbreaking reality with a survivor of a school shooting that took place in 1998. Mary Hollis talks about her horrific experience at Westside Middle School when she was only 12. The aftermath of this shooting has traumatized her and her classmates to this day. Mary Hollis lost her best friend Paige on that day. The sad fact is that I had never heard of this particular shooting. Columbine put school shooters on the map, and today it’s as if Americans are expected to forget each one and move on. But these people all have names, families, and friends that love and miss them. This episode is heavy, but I could not be more proud of Mary Hollis for sharing her story—hopefully, it will spark reflection and change. Breaking the Stigma: Real Talk About Mental Illness, Medication, and Healing with Physician and Author Dr. Paul Corona
As we approach Mental Health Awareness Month, I’m honored to sit down with Dr. Paul Corona—a trailblazing physician, author, and fierce advocate for mental wellness—whose mission is to transform how we understand and treat mental health. With over 30 years of experience bridging psychiatry and family medicine, Dr. Corona shares his remarkable journey, from being nicknamed “Dr. Paul” as a five-year-old with a toy medical kit to becoming a leading voice in integrative mental health care. He brings to light the vital connection between our minds and bodies, and why true healing must treat both. His newest book, The Corona Protocol, offers a bold, scientifically grounded approach to tackling some of society’s most pressing issues, including addiction, bullying, homelessness, school shootings, and suicide. We talk candidly about the science behind emotional struggles and why mental illness is not a matter of willpower. Dr. Corona explains how trauma, hormones, and genetics shape brain chemistry, and why it’s time to let go of outdated fears around medication. We also have a raw and emotional conversation about losing a child to suicide—and what we must do better as a society to support one another before it’s too late. This episode also explores the impact of technology and the mental health aftermath of the pandemic on today’s youth. Dr. Corona offers insight for parents navigating anxiety, depression, and ADHD in their children, while highlighting how healing can be affordable, accessible, and rooted in listening and compassion. Whether you’ve felt overwhelmed, stuck, or unsure of how to help someone you love, this conversation will open your eyes and remind you of what’s possible. You are not alone. There is help. There is healing. And there is always hope. Tune in to be inspired and reminded that healing begins when we dare to have these conversations—and when we remember that everyone is worthy of care, understanding, and light.
