In this episode, Cass sits down with Dr. Seyedan to discuss the hardships faced by students living with Lyme disease. School and the teenage years are hard enough, but when you add in a chronic invisible illness, it can become almost unbearable. Dr. Seyedan is on a mission to educate the world so that young people with Lyme disease are able to get the education and socialization of their peers, despite living in constant pain.
Last fall, my neurological Lyme symptoms came back with a vengeance. Brain fog, fatigue, memory issues, periodic paralysis and full body seizures became my daily routine. I fell into a deep depression that I tried to hide from everyone, even myself. I am finally on the other side and wanted to share what has been happening in hope that this will help those who have been through/are going through something similar. The journey is not over yet, but, for once, I am hopeful for the future.
