In Grandfather We Trust is a story from the book Tales of What May Come, which presents future possibilities: strange new sources of knowledge, coming family issues, future dystopia, new laws and new crimes, and the trend toward educational provincialism. Playwright and author Octavio Solis received the Distinguished Achievement in the American Theater Award at the Inge Theater Festival in Independence, Kansas in May 2019. Donald Ray Hill became the first player in the history of Independence, KS Little League Baseball to hit an over-the-fence home run when he smashed a three-run blast on July 12, 1954, at Clark James Field. Don was honored in 2019, at the Independence Historical Museum and Arts Center, joining their Baseball Hall of Fame.
