Kia Ora, I'm Erin Keam from erinkeam.com. I offer mentoring, marketing, and mindset coaching. In winter 2020, I was hit hard with SAD (Seasonal Affected Disorder). My coach told me to call a woman I didn't know every day... and turn that into a podcast, showcasing what they do. Some days were a struggle to pick up the phone, other (sunny) days I was on fire...but ALL my guests are amazing. Reach out to them! Oh, and I usually asked a question about their closet, as I love clothes, plus it can be extremely personal to women. I thank every woman who picked up the phone.

About Erin Keam

Erin Keam is a Kiwi living in Seattle who works with women solopreneurs to create their ideal life and achieve their vision. She combines her 23 years’ experience mentoring and being mentored in the recovery field with her career in marketing, film, media, TV, advertising, real estate and customer service (and a passion for fashion) to be a trusted source for solutions to what is getting between you and the life you want.

She offers two paths to progress. One is her unique LifeStyle Statement sessions, in which women uncover their personal themes which are distilled into a one-of-a-kind Statement which can then be taken to every area of their life from wardrobe to relationships to their business to their career and their home.

The other are her “pressure relief” mini-intensives where the focus is on moving closer to your vision through exploring and tackling personal and marketing issues which are keeping you stuck, whether clarifying your website’s message to your clients, looking at how you spend your time and money, decluttering (mental and physical), dressing as who you want to be, assessing the first impression your media and home office make on your ideal clients and creating action plans to get you the life you want.

When she’s not doing this, she’s interviewing women entrepreneurs on her podcast Conversations About Closets With My Closet 1000 Friends, about what they do, why and what they love about it, with one or two questions in there about clothing (there’s that passion for fashion!). Female-identifying (or non-binary) and want to be a guest? Book here!

You can find out more on her website erinkeam.comShe would love to connect with you on Instagram or LinkedIn or Facebook.

Hey, Koa Club members! Something getting between you and your goals? Often, all we need is someone to hold space while we talk through what’s keeping us stuck and the solution presents itself. Book a Talk it Out Call here with Erin. If you want an action step, she’ll suggest one.

Dr. Lex talks about her podcast Luxesci, which offers champagne & seafoam, sequins & DNA and the hard work that goes into creating a vaccine.

Dr. Lex is an immunologist with over 10 years of experience working in different arenas within global health to advance the movement of interventions out of the laboratory and into clinical trials. She started her career working in research labs for two pharmaceutical companies, supporting clinical trial analysis and drug development. After obtaining her Masters’ degree in Public Health Microbiology at The George Washington University, Dr. Lex worked for a non-profit vaccine development organization. From there she studied at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, helping to develop improved diagnostic tests for parasitic diseases and conducting research on the efficacy of large-scale public health interventions for disease elimination. Dr. Katsis completed her PhD in Microbiology and Immunology at The George Washington University, working in a NIH lab focused on parasite immunology and somehow managing to where heels while splitting cell cultures and doing flow cytometry. Since graduating, Dr. Lex has worked for philanthropic organizations and academic research centers supporting cutting-edge research and HIV and COVID clinical trials. When not immersing herself in all things geeky, Dr. Lex can be found ruminating on red carpet fashion choices with her friends, enjoying an occasional glass of champagne and trying to find ways to satisfy her overly curious mind.

Jean Kercheval from Kercheval Photography on the importance of an up-to-date headshot, getting glamorous and how Pinterest can help with a photo shoot.

Jean is a personal branding and women’s contemporary portrait photographer at Kercheval Photography. She has been in her current business for the last seven years but has been taking portraits of people for over 25 years.

Before that, she worked in mental health care, which she believes brings a sense of connection and sensitivity to her work.

The goal of her portraiture is to put people at ease, draw out their authenticity, produce beautiful work, and have fun! People tend to come to their photoshoot nervous and leave with high confidence, saying “hey, that was so much fun!”.

She has been published in various magazines for her creative shoots and received multiple awards for her portraiture through an international photo group called the Portrait Masters Association. In 2020, she also published a personal passion project called the Quarter Life Crisis Project, a digital magazine with photos and interviews of 21 young people discussing a time in their life of challenge, change and angst.

She doesn’t know yet what her next passion project might be, but is always looking for inspiration wherever she goes and with the people she meets. Jean loves what she does and wants to show everyone the beauty she sees in each and every one of them.

Susana Cardona from The Mamish Community for badass multicultural mothers on the power of women and the importance of a tailor.

Born in Southern California and made in New York City, Susana is the oldest child of two South American immigrants who dared to want more. The seeds of resiliency and self-determination where planted in her from an early age. These characteristics helped her navigate a world and society that never welcomed her as a LatinX woman. After having her son in 2016, she realized that again, she was an outsider looking in. The world of motherhood seemed to only reflect Anglo-suburban moms who always looked happy, fit, and beautifully poised at all times. Feeling the void for inclusive motherhood narratives, she decided to launch The Mamish Community in 2017–a platform dedicated to contemporary multicultural mamís. Susana currently resides in New York City with her 5yr old son, life partner, and their many plants.

Book here!

Lynnaire Johnston, LinkedIn Guru from wordwizard.co.nz on her latest best seller, the importance of a company page, dressing up and clay hillsides.

Lynnaire Johnston is a Dunedin-based LinkedIn expert, ranked No.1 in the country and the author of two books on the subject. She runs Word Wizard, a communications consultancy focusing on LinkedIn marketing.

Lynnaire started out as a reporter, news reader and announcer for Radio Hauraki. She worked in radio both here and overseas in the early part of her career but went on to feature writing and editor roles in the beauty, not-for-profit, and - however unlikely - automotive industries. She's interviewed many famous, interesting and successful people but on balance prefers the stories of how everyday Kiwis and those in her LinkedIn network overcome the challenges in their lives.

When not on LinkedIn, Lynnaire can be found in her steep hillside garden which she has created from scratch in just three years.

Kiwi showcase! Stephanie Crawford from Business Headspace on turning bookkeepers into business owners, music, sailing and Covid in NZ

I’m a bookkeeper turned business coach.

I started my own bookkeeping business from my dining room table 15 years ago and 8 years later, with a solid team, systems and profit, I sold it in order to move into business coaching.

I’ve been helping bookkeepers to build profitable and systemised businesses for over 7 years now through my one-to-one business coaching, and through my 12-month Mastermind From Bookkeeper to Business Owner, and soon, through my soon-to-be-released online business coaching course for bookkeepers.

I also keep my hand by working as an accounting software consultant - I’m Certified in Xero, MYOB, and Reckon (which used to be Quickbooks here in NZ) - and as a financial coach for small businesses who want to learn more about their numbers and what they mean for their business.
I absolutely love helping other bookkeepers to create successful businesses. As bookkeepers, we have an amazing opportunity to make a huge positive difference in the lives of your clients, and in our own lives as well.

My vision is a world where small businesses, including bookkeeping business, are profitable for their owners, provide a decent living for their employees, and are sustainable in that the business works for the people instead of the people feeling like a slave to the business. The ripple effect of making this happen worldwide is massive.
