Healthy For My Purpose
When Purpose, Prayer, and Plant-Based Living Collide

In this powerful episode of Healthy for My Purpose, we sit down with the radiant and unstoppable Alicia Lyles a woman of God, business owner, and now, purpose-driven athlete. Alicia shares her deeply personal health journey, from family tragedy and generational illness to hearing God’s call to get healthy or risk never fulfilling her divine assignment. What began as a simple yes to join a bootcamp turned into a full-body, full-spirit transformation that’s now taking her across the country, literally with a calling to walk or run in all 50 states while spreading God’s love. With humor, vulnerability, and unshakable faith, Alicia talks about how she went from barely moving to running races, launching a global notary business, helping her daughter find purpose, and redefining what it means to be “healthy for your purpose.” If you’ve ever doubted your ability to start or start again this conversation will stir your soul and show you what’s possible when you align your spirit, soul, and body with God’s will. Healthy For My Purpose
Zombie Christianity: How Toxic Food is Numbing the Church

Have we become the walking dead in the Church?

In this eye-opening 30-minute episode, Sersie Blue pulls back the veil on a quiet epidemic. Many Christians are walking in spiritual truth, but physically asleep. The culprit? Toxic food!  It’s leaving us with high blood pressure, obesity, mental fog, and chronic fatigue, even as we lift our hands in worship and cry out for revival.

Sersie shares her wake-up call from living with high blood pressure and mental fog to experiencing healing and clarity through the Daniel Fast. She reveals how what’s on our plate may be keeping us from fully stepping into our purpose.

This isn't just about eating better; this is about being set free. Because the Holy Spirit doesn’t just want to renew your spirit, He wants to resurrect your energy, your clarity, and your health. It's time to stop living like zombies and rise into vibrant, obedient, Spirit-led living.

Romans 12:2
"Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind..."

  • How processed food creates a “zombie-like” state, spiritually foggy, physically drained

  • Why our health struggles are not just physical but deeply spiritual

  • Sersie’s personal story of breaking free from the food coma through the Daniel Fast

  • How the Holy Spirit partners with us to break strongholds, even in our eating habits

  • Why changing what you eat is a radical act of worship and warfare

About Rev. Shad and Erinna Groverland:

Rev. Shad and Erinna Groverland are the co-founders of Fillmore Church, a newly-launched church in Lee’s Summit, Missouri, based on the Practical Christian teachings of Myrtle and Charles Fillmore. Just as the Fillmores merged ethical vegetarianism into a new perspective on Christianity over 100 years ago, the Fillmore church continues that legacy today with a plant-forward approach that honors the vegan lifestyle that Rev. Shad and Erinna live. Practical Christianity also emphasizes our God-given power to heal our minds and bodies and our collective responsibility to care for all beings and nature by reducing our consumption and living a low-impact lifestyle.

In this inspiring episode, we explore how the Fruits of the Spirit—love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control (Galatians 5:22-23)—are powerful tools for transforming your health and wellness journey. Living a healthy lifestyle isn’t just about food and exercise; it’s also about aligning your choices with the Spirit of God and allowing these fruits to guide your actions.
We’ll discuss practical ways to incorporate each fruit of the Spirit into your health goals, from showing self-control in food choices to practicing kindness with yourself on the journey. Rooted in biblical principles and inspired by the Daniel Fast, we’ll share how eating whole, nourishing foods and inviting God into your health decisions can lead to true transformation—physically, emotionally, and spiritually.
If you’re looking for a faith-driven reset, we’ll introduce you to the Healthy Christian Woman BootCamp, where you’ll learn to “eat like Daniel” and realign your health journey with God’s design. Join us as we unpack how to honor your body as a temple and allow the Fruits of the Spirit to lead you to lasting wellness.
