Af: Pieter het stadig deur die Kirstenbosch Botaniese Tuin gestap, sy asem vorm effense wolkies in die koel winterlug.
En: Pieter walked slowly through the Kirstenbosch Botanical Garden, his breath forming slight clouds in the cool winter air.

Af: Vandag was 'n spesiale dag, Nasionale Vrouedag, en die tuine was vol mense wat die pragtige uitsig en handgemaakte kraampies geniet.
En: Today was a special day, National Women's Day, and the gardens were filled with people enjoying the beautiful view and handmade stalls.

Af: Pieter het goeie herinneringe aan Kirstenbosch.
En: Pieter had fond memories of Kirstenbosch.

Af: Sy ouma het hom as kind hierheen gebring.
En: His grandmother had brought him here as a child.

Af: Haar stem het dikwels in sy gedagtes gespeel soos die sagte wind wat deur die bome fluister.
