Af: Ek is hier saam met jou," antwoord haar broer selfversekerd.
En: I'm here with you," her brother answers confidently.

Af: Hulle begin die paadjie teen die berg se kant.
En: They begin the path along the mountain's side.

En: The birds sing around them, but it brings little comfort.

En: His heart tells him to continue, but his head starts to think otherwise.

En: "Just a little further, I promise," he says, but even he hears the doubt in his own voice.

Af: Annelie staan vas.
En: @Annelie@af stands firm.

Af: "Ek gaan nie verder nie, Jaco!
En: "I'm not going any further, @Jaco@af!"
