In this episode, Pete and Steph talk about the pressure to always “go big,” “seize the day,” and “stay positive” — even when you're just trying to make it through. Steph gets a little riled up (in a good way) about the tone-deafness in a lot of self-help spaces. We’re not here to sell shiny advice — we’re here to be real.
We’ve got tools, sure, but we also struggle — and we’re honest about it.
Sometimes the bravest thing you can do is just be human. And honestly? That should be enough. YOU ARE ENOUGH.
Just Be Human.

During this live talk on the Noom Vibe app for Echoes of Understanding, Steph and Peter dive into the quiet, everyday ways assumptions shape how we see each other—and how they often get in the way of true connection. From ableism to miscommunication, they explore how much we miss when we assume we already know someone’s story, struggle, or intent. Through honest conversation and personal reflections, they invite listeners to slow down, stay curious, and practice the kind of listening that leads to deeper understanding. What could shift if we asked more questions instead of rushing to conclusions?

In this episode 7 of Echoes of Understanding, we dive into the nuanced world of masculine and feminine energy—how they attract, how they clash, and what happens when emotional expression shifts the dynamic. We talk about the moments when men might become too emotionally expressive, and how that can impact polarity and attraction. We also explore why some women feel triggered by strong masculine energy, especially when it stirs up old wounds or nervous system responses. This is a raw, honest conversation about emotional safety, embodiment, and the ever-evolving dance between energies in relationship.

It is way too easy to compare ourselves with everyone else nowadays because we are inundated with ads and the seemingly perfect lives of those around us and online. But nothing is as it appears and it's always a great reminder to come back to ourselves to see what's going on within us and re-focus on our own path ahead. Join us, Stephanie Ann Webb & Peter Carrington, as we discuss the comparison trap!

- Peter being late and Steph being early
- realizing we both tuned each other out while we were talking
- how we are navigating emotions during this time in the world
- we answer the question: "The secret to a great life is...."
and many more....

Welcome to Episode 3 of Echoes of Understanding with Steph & Pete!
Have you ever felt different within your family? Maybe you've been seen as the "black sheep" of your family. Many times that term has been used as a negative. But we turn it around as a positive. The black sheep is the person who sees beyond the BS. The black sheep might be the one who challenges the status quo and starts doing work to change and stop generational trauma. Many times, the black sheep is someone who is neurodiverse, like Steph & Pete!
Thank you for watching! We appreciate you.

We didn't get a chance to record our own separate recording this week so this is an upload of a live talk we did on the Noom Vibe app. One of our friends mentioned a book called "Men Are Like Waffles, Women Are Like Spaghetti" by Bill and Pam Farrel and we decided to talk about how we see some of the differences between men and women and also how these are generalizations that don't allow for much nuance or other aspects like personality or neurodiversity.
We'd love to hear your comments!

In this first episode, Steph and Pete explore the role of labels, such as ADHD and HSP, and why they matter. Many ask, “Why do we need to know?” The answer lies in understanding ourselves—labels can provide clarity, reassurance, and a sense of belonging. When we've been questioned or made to feel like something is "wrong" with us, having a name for our experiences can be validating. Labels can also help us communicate aspects of our identity, such as religious beliefs or personal traits.
However, labels have their limits. While they can offer understanding, they can also confine us, reinforcing stereotypes and keeping us stuck in a fixed mindset. Steph and Pete discuss how to use labels as tools for growth rather than constraints.
Join the conversation as they navigate the balance between self-awareness and self-limitation.
The book Pete mentions is called "Driven to Distraction" by Edward Hallowell & John Ratey
