Realije The Beatbox Emcee is a multidisciplinary artist whose craft is inspired through the foundations of hip hop culture. He has been beatboxing and emceeing for 10 years. Realije graduated from Etobicoke School of the Arts as a Drama Major in 2012 and later went to and graduated from Ryerson University for Environment and Urban Sustainability in 2017. Throughout his time in university he threw his own DIY shows and workshops at a student co-op he lived at. He also was the events curator for the student group on campus called Urban Hip Hop Union. He continues to curate his own and collaborate with other parties to produce underground local arts and music events in Toronto and Vancouver.
UK-based Reggae and Dancehall artist known for his fusion of the genres and his career path, which began in London, led to his imprisonment in Jamaica for drug-related offenses, and then continued with his release and emergence as a prominent artist in the underground scene. He is of Greek and Irish descent and grew up in a West Indian community in Hackney, London. After moving to Jamaica in 2001, he learned his craft alongside notable artists before his career launched after his prison release.
