Episode 48-The Crow (1994)

Eric Draven and his fiancé Shelly are murdered on Devil's Night. One year later, a mystical crow (or raven actually) brings Eric back as he becomes an avenging angel, hunting the freaks responsible that fateful night.

Based on a dark, gritty comic book from James O'Barr, who'd recently lost his fiancé, The Crow seemed like it might be just another adaption thriller by a major studio. However, tragedy struck when up and coming lead actor Brandon Lee, son of martial arts legend Bruce Lee, was killed in a horrible on-set accident. Funding AND Paramount pulled out and the film wound up at Miramax. However despite the infamy surrounding the film, The Crow became a hit and subsequently has earned a massive cult following, pushed goth culture to the forefront and spawned 4 sequels, novels and a TV show. Is this film a worthy testament to Lee's legacy? What the f%@k is the relationship between Myca and Top Dollar???
