Our Pathfinder Press reporter Lorraine took us to the Sew 'n' Sew community group in Smallbridge, Rochdale to meet a group of women who go along to learn sewing skills, make friends, socialising with a brew and a biscuit.  The Sew ’n’ Sews group, led by volunteer tutor Dawn Alletson, is a lively space where members make everything from practical items to fun, decorative pieces, all while picking up new skills and enjoying each other’s company.

The 'West Indians in the Lancashire Leagues' exhibition looks to showcase the household names and great international players from the West Indies, that graced Emirates Old Trafford as well as the rich history of West Indian players throughout the Lancashire Leagues. In addition, it will look at how cricket, as a sport, played an integral part in helping the Windrush generation and their families settle into the villages, towns and cities of the county of Lancashire.
