There’s a reason why people ask how you’re feeling. Maybe you have some deep emotion you can’t really express, you can’t really show in full display, in full colour. But the answer is ‘I’m fine.’

You might’ve done something normally deemed to be unforgivable, like it’s not worth forgetting, it’s not worth moving on from. Some people can’t ever forget the last worst thing they’ve done. And even if their victims have largely moved on, it still etched this permanent mental video in their eyes. Intrusive thoughts make them replay certain bad things they wish they’ve never done.

We often take sleep for granted. There’s a lot to do before it that sort of takes you and me away from that well deserved rest. It may not even be college work. You probably have, too. Insomnia. It happens as people go through education from elementary to college. Wherever you are, you probably have the urge to lose sleep hours just to get something done.

Procrastination can hit you – it’s not just limited to people hiding away to a little corner in their respective rooms. It could hit an extrovert, the socialite, the active thinker, and others of any kind. And the effects can get worse, maybe even destructive, devastating, sort of borderline dark.

Music is a nice universal thing (you’re probably listening to this podcast in the same place you listen to your music) because it communicates things we can’t say in words. Certain kinds of music works differently on all kinds of people – and so some bits of music may help others in this fashion.

Homesickness is one of those things that can hit dorm and apartment residents, especially to those coming from far off places. They seem like they enjoy life here, but inside, they’re missing their home, their main land. You may have felt the same thing too – you’re not alone on this. You could feel anxious, sad, any feeling when you long for home.

You can get your support from a group of people living with the same problems as you are – you’ve got cancer support groups, you’ve got support groups of other chronic and terminal illnesses. If you think of a problem right now, chances are there may be a support group for it, or maybe there’s just one other person experiencing a problem as you are now. Empathising can help.

The first faces you see when you see the world for the first time would normally be of your parents. You see your mum and dad as you open your eyes, start crying as you live… kid’s stuff.
They’re the first teachers of your life – they show you what’s right and wrong, they show you practical things, they give you things to remember, and other things. Mum and Dad give time so you can show them your abstract art on a crumpled piece of paper, and they cheer for you, they encourage you to keep going… that’s positive enforcement.

Life can be slow, and can get slower with choices made everyday. And that’s fine. There’s a bright side to all of this.
