You might’ve done something normally deemed to be unforgivable, like it’s not worth forgetting, it’s not worth moving on from. Some people can’t ever forget the last worst thing they’ve done. And even if their victims have largely moved on, it still etched this permanent mental video in their eyes. Intrusive thoughts make them replay certain bad things they wish they’ve never done.
