When It Rains, It Pours: Episode 032. In this episode of Addicted2Triathlon, we give Kate's race report for the Texas 70.3 Half Ironman in Galveston TX. There were several things that happened which made the athletes have to perform outside of their comfort zone. The swim was cancelled for the safety of the athletes. The wind was 21 mph with hard wind gusts. Then the temperature was in the 50s to start with. Those that finished endured all these things and should have had a sense of accomplishment! Great job to all, including the volunteers and those that cheered on the athletes!

We Got Two Flats!
We Got Two Flats: Episode 029. In this episode of Addicted2Triathlon, we talk about our training day in Galveston TX checking out the course for the Texas 70.3. During our bike ride, we got two flats! Immediately, Justin from Bike Minded Mobile Bike Repair swooped in! He helped me fix my flat, and five miles later, he swooped in again. Kate had just run over a blade in the road and it had a big cut on the her tire. Luckily, Justin had a spare tire and quickly repaired it for us! We continued our bike ride to Schlitterbahn and then ran as much of the run course as we could. Kate checked out the water to calm her fears of swimming in Offatts Bayou. When we were done, we got to relax at the beach with our Subway sandwiches! We were tired, but recovered quickly for our Sunday run. Have a listen and enjoy our adventure!
