Her PH.D project looks into the construction of black femme postfeminist identity in South Africa. After being awarded the Mandela Rhodes Scholarship in 2017, she went on to complete her Masters in International Relations at the University of Cape Town, South Africa. She is also a freelance creative writer and research consultant with a keen interest in African politics, migration, and feminist studies.
