Mila Rose aka @milarosebirmingham and #cheekyzoom is a bright light in the lash world, sharing her joy and good vibes all around. Mila was on the brink of giving up her lash career until she attended London LashFest. It really was transformational for her and it was the start of her rise to VISIBILITY in the lash community. Fast forward 2 years, she's has multiple lash ambassadorships under her belt, has been on multiple podcasts and has spoken herself at LashFest and is soon to hop up on stage again at Opal Games. I had the pleasure of having her as a member of The Visibility Gateway for 6 months which was all part of her plan to build confidence, profile and to build awareness for the need for deeper inclusivity and diversity across the industry whether that's in the classroom or in our lash rooms.

In this episode I speak to Nikki Murphy of NK Beauty Bar & Academy. Nikki's journey is a lesson in tenacity and courage. Her own struggles in her life, both physical and emotional have led her to the place she is today - a force to reckon with in the beauty industry, one full of knowledge and experience she is bursting to share with her students. She is passionate about helping those who struggle because she has been there herself. She recently spoke so eloquently at LashFest in London and made the whole room sit up and listen. The audience laughed and cried with her, literally! Myself included. Joining us at the end of the podcast is another lash artist; Lottie Bayman - who was deeply moved by Nikki's talk and I invited her on to tell us why.
Nikki has been part of my mentoring programme, The Visibility Gateway for the past 6 months and there is no stopping her now!
If you'd like more information on how you can be more inclusive in your business, Nikki would love to hear from you. You can find her @nkbeautybarandacademy on IG.

That's right, listen to Anna explain the importance of wearing the right colours can make you look younger, your skin more even and sharpen up your bone structure and generally pep you right up so that you feel generally more confident.
This was a new one for me as my guest was in the studio with me, not on the end of a zoom interview - and being a CEO of a content creating business - he was not alone - he brought his film crew with him!! Of course he did!
So are men naturally more confident in front of the camera? What tips does Harry have for working to camera and becoming more confident. It's short and SWEET this episode so fill your boots and ENJOY!

Meet Tress Larson of Lashbox LA. On the surface she seems to have it all. A dazzling Instagram page, a fabulous career with a prestigious lash brand. She's busy, busy, busy. She oozes self-confidence but is she? How does she actually feel when she's out there on TV shows and speaking at lash events? Does she have any tips and tricks for the rest of us?
It's been a few months now since getting back to work and now that I'm back into my groove, Behind The Lashes wants to check in with some old and new. Starting with Frankie Widdows in this episode to see how she's doing and how she is finding this rather strange version of life right now.
A new voice to the series in this episode. I speak to Shelby Tarleton aka Pink Lady Lash and creator and presenter of well known industry podcast LashBoss Radio. Shelby speaks candidly about how Covid felt to a brand new Mum and the toll it took on her mental health and her relationship. We speak about business of course, her upcoming LashBoss Conference and she has some great thoughts for us British lash artists on the brink of going back to work.
