Slovenskega profesorja v Združenih državah smo vprašali o vzdušju na ameriških raziskovalnih ustanovah, pri dveh slovenskih poznavalcih znanosti pa preverjali, koliko je takšna drastična proračunska odločitev tudi simbolna poteza, kakšne bodo posledice napovedanih rezov in kako skrb vzbujajoč je vnovičen vzpon antiintelektualizma.
