You've Never Seen?!
Jurassic Park: The Lost World

In response to a discussion about Jurassic World Rebirth on the Undercast Podcast, this host embarked on a journey of what I hoped to finally be a favorite of the modern prehistoric franchise and was not disappointed. Placing my personal favorite character from the original front and center as lead, this under appreciated and underrated sequel finally brings characters that have common sense and are deserving to outsmart the Dino dna creatures. So Listen as Life uh finds a way as we discuss…. Jurassic Park: The Lost World

28 Later Series

Starting off with a indie horror, Then having a mixed received sequel completed by a different team. And finally 23 years after the original releasing the beginning of a trilogy series of movies. This month I’m discussing solo a franchise that possibly is a very early instance of the infected, the generational successor to the more known zombies, and possibly an inspiration for stories like the last of us and world war z. So don’t let any crows get blood in your eye or kiss the wife you left for dead and beware of alphas as we discuss the 28 Later series.

You've Never Seen?!
Lilo & Stitch

This original animated Disney film that just recently received the live action treatment, produced possibly one of the most prolific cute and fluffy characters to come out of the house of mouse. Or so my never ending funko pop collection seems to show. Perfectly engrossing the themes and emotional gravity of family and that nurturing love can define one’s nature this months film is so beloved by so many for a reason. So get your Elvis records ready and listen as we discuss… Lilo & Stitch

You've Never Seen?!
The Silence of the Lambs

Featuring a character that many consider being the greatest villian of all time iconically performed by Sir Anthony Hopkins, this month’s film is a horror thriller that never lets go of its viewers. Filled with a subtle eeriness that slow creeps up to a crescendo of an incredible cat and mouse scene there is no wonder this movie became an inspiration for so many movies and TV shows to follow. So get your plate of liver and fava beans with a nice bottle of Chanti ready as we discuss… The Silence of the Lambs.

You've Never Seen?!
Good Will Hunting

Jumpstarting the careers of two prolific actors of modern times, earning them their first academy awards for best screenplay, and the very missed very deserving Robin Willliams an academy award for best supporting actor, this months film tells an incredibly structured story of a young man’s journey of breaking free of his trauma and self sabotage to act on his self-arrested intellect and want of true love. With characters that every viewer can find a representation of their own life, this film eloquently expresses realistic versions of grief, acceptance, love, friendship, and overcoming the feeling that it is not your fault.  So how about them apples and listen in as we discuss…. Good Will Hunting

You've Never Seen?!
Scrooged

Marking the second interpretation of the classic dickens tale of A Christmas Carol on this podcast. This months film is definitely one of the darkest and possibly the most unique versions of the festive staple. Placing the tale of a jaded tv executive in the 80s New York studio a la NBC, a network lead Bill Murray surely knew well. This twisted environment turns the iconic ghosts into a manic fairy delivering justified abuse, a strongly lived cabbie, and a literal phantom in the tv screen. So grab your gifted towels, start practicing those double front tucks and turn in as we discuss… Scrooged.

Planes, Trains, and Automobiles

Being one of the very few movies to be represent one of the most overlooked holidays of the holiday season, this months episode is a staple of the buddy road trip trope. So much so that it was a direct inspiration for Ryan Reynolds for the development of the successful Deadpool and Wolverine film. Get ready to sell some shower curtain rings and listen as we discussed a comedy with one of the most accurately descriptive titles - Planes, Trains, and automobiles.

You've Never Seen?!
American Werewolf in London

Considered as having one of the most iconic werewolf transformations in cinematic history, this months film rides a very delicate line between tragedy and comedy in a surprisingly very Shakespearean nature. Aside from the titular werewolf, this John Landis directed movie contains some the best practical zombie makeup and lead to the inspiration of one of the king of pop’s most iconic music videos. With its average Joe main character this film is a story that comes the closest of making the audience feel that you too with just a bit of poor luck and being in the wrong town at the wrong time could become a monster. So grab your huge hiking backpack and stay on the road that is… American Werewolf in London.

You've Never Seen?!
The Iron Giant

The late 90s had it's fair share of incredible animated movies that made up this host's childhood. These included, but definitely not limited to, Hercules, The Hunchback of Notre Dome, and the previously discussed on this podcast Prince of Egypt. But this months film is one, to quote a phasing I used to say,  went under the radar for me. Directed and co-written by Brad Bird, who would later go on to be an icon for Disney and Pixar, this movie tugs at the heart strings and captures the imagination to delve into very deep themes of death, grieving, and self defining against what you might have been made for. So put your Superman capes on and listen as we discuss…. The Iron Giant.

Big thanks to special guest Marcel from the Reel Chums Podcast go check them out. They are currently doing a series that I liked to think was inspired by yours truly. Jk. 😊

2 Fast 2 Furious

We continue to go down the road that will always lead to family with this months film. Marking the second outing showing that only with custom super cars can an FBI investigation be solved, moments are created that would set the tone of the franchise well into its present day. Adding two more iconic family members to the crew, this movie kicks up the NOS in its stunts, it’s entertaining dynamics and just over all enjoyment to a once thought ridiculous series by this here host. So sit back being careful of ejector seats and listen as we discuss… 2 fast 2 furious.

You've Never Seen?!
They Live

Sometimes being overshadowed by his other cult classics of The Thing and Halloween, both of which being previous topics on this very podcast, this John Carpenter directed film boasts an anti-capitalism theme that becomes more and more relevant with time. Placing a wrestling superstar in the starring role before popularized by the likes of The Rock and John Cena, this comedic thriller of a David vs a Goliath is deserving of the status of badass. So chew that bubble gum and get ready to kick ass as we discuss… They Live
