How many times have you been on a Zoom meeting and heard someone say, “you’re on mute.”? If the last year has taught us anything it’s that the gaps in generational thinking are bigger than ever and we have a lot to learn from one another. On “You’re On Mute” Pastors Mary and Elise will talk faith, leadership, social issues and much more, both bringing with them the mindset and knowledge of their prospective generations, knowing that people of different generations are differently wise! We hope to inspire and inform leaders and members of congregations, as well as the unchurched or unsure. It’s Boomer v. Millennial, game on.

Pastors Elise and Mary hit the road to the South Carolina Synod Assembly to interview folks who have gathered there. They asked everyone TWO questions: What do you wish the church would stop doing? And what do you wish the church would start doing? They got some really interesting and diverse answers!
Just a heads up due to the environment (and Elise's limited editing abilities) the audio can be a little rough at certain points especially from day one. You can skip to about 45 minutes in for day two's interviews which have much better sound quality!
The wonderful Robin Pingilley joins Pastors Elise and Mary on our 10th (!!!!!) episode to share her journey; both in her call and seminary journey. After our talk with Robin you get to hear Pastors Elise and Mary fangirl over Robin as well as marvel at all the conversation held beyond our racial differences.
(A side note about the audio: it's not great this episode. But Elise sent Mary new headphones so it should be better next time!)
