In this week’s episode, Yaz takes us back to the very start. This is an episode to get to know the girl behind Your Girl Yaz and the deeper side to Yasmin Lily Hilsdon who you see now as a business owner travelling the world with her laptop. It’s been a journey to get here from the girl who always felt different and never felt like she fit in. Through struggles, parents divorce, difficult times with mental health, alcohol and financial struggles and supporting people when she was just a young girl herself who was still trying to figure it out.
From stepping into sales after leaving school at 16 to renting a flat and supporting her brother when times were tough to booking the one way flight and finding herself in a difficult situation in Bali which shifted everything and started a whole new chapter. Australia was the beginning of it all for Yaz working in bars, finding her job as a nanny and starting her mindset coaching course.
There’s always a story to every person, every business owner and we aren’t all born into the lives you see online. You are the writer of your own story, the creator of your reality and you are capable, worthy and deserving of your wildest dreams. It’s time to stop self sabotaging and know that truly anything is possible.
