Season 2, Episode 19: Auntie and June Ambrose!

In our epic final interview of the season, Auntie sits down in her proverbial living room with the icon, the legend, the moment, June Ambrose. From the costume designer’s groundbreaking work with musical icons like Missy Elliott, Jay-Z, Busta Rhyme, and Mariah Carey, to being a key architect of some of the most unforgettable fashion moments in pop culture history, June has become a North Star for anyone dreaming of making their mark in the fashion world. The Bronx-native was not only one of the first public-facing stylists, but she moved throughout the gatekept and racially homogeneous world of fashion as a Black woman with authenticity and authority–taking up space in rooms we rarely were invited into. With her creativity, whimsy, and fearless commitment to self-expression, she’s inspired a generation of image makers, writers, and artists and proved that style isn’t about following trends but defining your narrative. In this deep, heartfelt convo, the duo unpack June’s singular approach to costume design, how she got her start in the music industry, and her enduring commitment to empowering others through fashion. June also reveals her thoughts on being called an “auntie”...! You won’t want to miss this incredible conversation–it’s a tru fashion girl’s dream!

Season 2, Episode 13: Auntie and Cami Árboles!

Hey bbs! For our latest interview this season, Auntie sits down in her proverbial living room with the spellbinding pole artist and creative, Cami Árboles. Many know Árboles from her viral pole video of the then-Yale graduate spinning in her cap and gown to celebrate earning her degree in Performance from the Ivy League university. The watershed moment broke open a conversation on the presence of pole’s place in such lofty institutions and also marked a huge transition in Árboles’s career. The shapeshifting goddess would go on to famously teach SZA how to work the pole, collaborate with FKA twigs, open her own movement studio, and tour the world teaching others the power of pole. With an unerring optimism and infectious energy, Árboles discusses the challenges and joys of dancing in heels, the importance of embracing pain and growth, and how the body serves as a canvas for art. You won’t want to miss this must-hear ki!

It was exactly the type of joy we needed to get through these unprecedented times, but it still brought up discussions around resilience, authenticity, and the boxes culture insists putting on Black creatives. As the Academy Awards race heats up, Auntie digs into the controversy surrounding Emilia Perez’s star Carla Sofia Gascon’s racist tweets and why Babygirl didn’t get her off! Season 2, Episode 8: Auntie on Fashion Week Drama, “Wags to Riches”, and the Legacy of Carrie Bradshaw

Hey bbs! We survived January and lived to tell the tale… Thank God, because there are some major pop cultural phenomena worth discussing: from Zoë Kravitz and Steve Lacy possibly hard launching their relationship at Saint Laurent, the recent Jacquemus show getting dragged online, the new show “Wags to Riches” and ofc the RHONY and RHOSLC reunions. Host Marjon Carlos unpacks it all, dovetailing into a topic she’s been dying to discuss for a minute now: the Carrie Bradshaw hate train. It’s gotta’ stop and Gen Z needs to put some respect on our favorite sex columnist’s name. Auntie also gets personal and lets you in on her new real estate move and her thoughts on the anti-DEI legislation that came down from D.C. last week.

Your Favorite Auntie
Season 2, Episode 5: Auntie and Racquel Chevremont!

In this must-hear episode, host Marjon Carlos welcomes Racquel Chevremont, the art world powerhouse and the newest addition to the Real Housewives of New York cast, into her living room. The Ducati-driving mother of two discusses navigating the upper echelons of the art industry, her transition into reality television, and the importance of representation as a Black queer woman in and out of the inner cabals of high art. With the same signature grace and vulnerability that made Bravo fans fall for the Bronx-native this season, Chevremont unpacks RHONY’s biggest moments like THAT prank, hints at the reunion drama, why the straights didn’t get her engagement party “ball” theme right, the significance of chosen family, and how her new love has helped her brave the proverbial shitstorm of the Bravoverse. To quote Ubah, Naomi wish!

Your Favorite Auntie
Season 2, Episode 4: Auntie on Rihanna's Relationship Status, TikTok + Free Speech, RHONY Theories, and More!

Hey bbs! On this solo epi, host Marjon Carlos unpacks the biggest stories of the week, including Rihanna's recent confirmation as ASAP Rocky's common-law wife, the implications of TikTok's weird ass shutdown on free speech, and how Angie and Mary’s friendship on RHOSLC was a master class in “fighting for a friendship.” Also, after a week of hanging with the ladies from RHONY, Auntie shares her theories on the season finale (which airs tn!) and what the RHONY reboot teaches us about how Bravo is evolving its content strategy to attract a broader audience. Lastly, Auntie gets a little personal and discusses her decision to stop drinking and why lessening her intake is less a conversation about the “clean girl aesthetic” and more so about her mental health journey. Oh! And be sure to send through your existential crises this week so Auntie can answer them on-air during our ASK AUNTIE ANYTHING segment. She’s always here to help xx

Season 2, Episode 3: Auntie and Mara Hoffman!

Hey bbs! For our first interview this season, Auntie sits down in the YFA living room with the outrageously talented and wise, Mara Hoffman, for an insightful, hilarious, and touching conversation that only two Aries can have. The visionary designer walks us through her difficult decision to close her CFDA award-winning sustainable label after 20 years, the power in goodbyes, and why she would never do Real Housewives. Like a breath of fresh air, Mara’s ability to let go and redefine herself is an inspiration to the legions of women who saw themselves in her namesake line. Auntie and Mara hope this conversation offers a bit of joy and catharsis as we continue to move through such a difficult time…

Season 2, Episode 2: Auntie On Golden Globes Fashion, Megan Thee Stallion, and Demi Moore

Hey bbs! We’re back with another solo episode. We forewent the launch of our first interview epi last week out of respect for the devastation in LA. But hopefully, we’ll be able to launch that epi later this week: it’s one that I believe will inspire during these bleak times. In the meantime, step into Auntie’s proverbial living room for a one-on-one ki with host Marjon Carlos and listen to her takes on the Golden Globes’ Best Dressed and why Demi Moore’s acceptance speech impacted her so much. As always, Auntie will be providing her signature advice in the ASK AUNTIE ANYTHING segment while also dishing on pop culture’s biggest moments, including the Angel Reese and Gabby Thomas’s Vogue covers, Megan Markle’s new Netflix show, and why one family in California owning nearly all the water supply is this week’s NASTY WORK.
