Joshua asked Achan to give glory to God by confessing his sin. But Achan's confession reveals no repentance—only exposure. His words echo the fall of Adam and Eve: he saw, he coveted, he took. Covetousness is the sin of unbelief, suspecting God of withholding good from us. Today, we explore the stark contrast between Rahab's faith and Achan's greed. One saved her family; the other doomed his. One made a covenant; the other broke it. How can we avoid the sin of covetousness?

📖 SCRIPTURE REFERENCES:
• Joshua 7:19-21 (Achan's Confession)
• Genesis 3:6 (Eve Saw, Desired, Took)
• Numbers 15:27-31 (High-Handed Sin)
• Psalm 26:7 (Thanksgiving and Confession)
• Isaiah 51:3, Jeremiah 17:26 (Glory to God)
• Ezra 10:11 (Confession of Sin)
• Joshua 2:1-13 (Rahab's Faith)
• Luke 12:15 (Beware of Covetousness)

🗓️ DAILY DEVOTIONAL SERIES:
Week 6: "The Enemy Within"—understanding how covetousness reveals unbelief and how faith leads to obedience.

💭 REFLECTION QUESTIONS:
1. What is the significance of Joshua asking Achan to "give glory to God" through confession?
2. How does Achan's confession echo the fall of Adam and Eve?
3. What is the contrast between Rahab's faith and Achan's greed?
4. How can we avoid succumbing to the sin of covetousness, no matter how much we have or don't have?

🙏 PRAYER FOCUS:
Lord, help me recognize covetousness as unbelief. Teach me to trust that You withhold no good thing from me, and give me a heart of contentment and faith.

🕯️ INSPIRED BY:
"The sin of covetousness is the sin of unbelief. It suspects God of not wanting the best for His creatures and of hiding some exquisite pleasures from them."
