Fighting Hunger on the Delmarva: Pro Exteriors' 5,000lb Food Goal | You Ask, The PROs Answer | Ep.62

In this special episode of the You Ask the Pros Answer Podcast, we’re stepping away from exterior home remodeling to address a critical issue right here in our community: food insecurity.

Did you know that in Sussex County, Delaware, over 32,050 individuals (13.3% of the population) were considered food insecure in 2022? That number is staggering, and we know we can make a difference—but we need your help!

Join us for the "2.5 in 2025" Annual Food Drive, where Pro Exteriors has set a goal to collect 2.5 tons (that's 5,000 pounds!) of non-perishable food items. Learn how you can get involved by donating food, money, or by having your local business become a collection site.

This effort is part of our Community PRO Pledge to leave the Delmarva Peninsula and the Eastern Shore of Maryland stronger than we found it. All donations will directly benefit the Milton Community Food Pantry and The Shepherd’s Office in Georgetown, two incredible local organizations on the front lines of the fight against hunger.

The Food Insecurity Crisis: Understanding what it means to be truly "starving" and the shocking statistics in the U.S. and specifically in Southern Delaware.

Introducing "2.5 in 2025": The goal to collect 5,000 pounds of food from November 1st to December 31st.

How You Can Get Involved (Build a Stronger Delmarva, Together!):

Donate Food: Drop off non-perishable food items (canned meat, pasta, peanut butter, etc.) at Pro Exteriors or one of the many collection sites (updated constantly on our website).

Give Financially: Donate directly via our website to help us close the gap and purchase bulk food items. Every dollar goes directly to the food drive.

Become a Collection Site: Local Sussex County and Eastern Shore businesses can sign up to host a donation box. It's easy, increases foot traffic, and we handle all the pick-ups!
