In this first episode, we have the privilege of speaking with Shahd Wadi, an inescapable voice in Palestinian literature and activism. An author, researcher, translator, and independent curator, Shahd has dedicated herself to reflecting, writing, and challenging dominant narratives about Palestine and exile.
Her writing intersects memory, identity, and the struggle for freedom, and her activism addresses anti-Zionist feminism, art as a tool of resistance, and the impact of colonialism on the Palestinian experience.
In this conversation, we discuss the land of her grandparents, erased from the map, "neutrality" as a tool of occupation, feminism as resistance and rupture, and poetry as an archive of a people who refuses to disappear.
