He was diagnosed with anxiety, depression, and ADHD in rehab at Cirque Lodge in 2023. It was not until this third trip to rehab in 2024 at Burning Tree Renewal Lodge after his first ever arrest that he was able to let go of past traumas that have haunted him some since childhood. Those traumas include sexual abuse by a male babysitter at the age of 10/11, an unhealthy lifelong relationship with his father and being codependent up the ass in all his relationships in his life. He learned about and how to “manage” his codependency, he began and continues therapy to deal with the traumas and current life challenges, and he learned to live in the present.
Heidi is the co-founder of Sober.Buzz and has experienced trauma since the beginning, starting with the Primal Wound as she was adopted shortly after birth. She was molested for many years at a young age until her familymoved from California to Utah. In her early years she found joy in swimming and could have gone far but after being sexually assaulted a week before her 16th birthday she lost the joy she once found in her favorite sport, and it was then she began her journey with drugs. She has been battling misdiagnoses and addiction ever since and a year ago Heidi, with help from Josh and a sober manager, decided to attend AcquaRecovery in Utah. From that time on Heidi has been dedicated to her road to recovery.

Nick had a (in his own words) less-than-ideal childhood. His father was an alcoholic, workaholic, se* abuser. The latter would later push Nick to his psychological end, which landed him in a hospital in 2009. After that, Nick struggled mightily to hold his life together but could not (or so he felt) battle the mounting demons and turned to drugs and alcohol to solve the problem. It did not solve the problem, and roughly 9 years later, a change had to be made. Nick willingly checked himself into rehab, and the PeopleDisPleaser was born.
Nick has been very successful in business, forming and selling many companies. His first entrepreneurial venture, at age ten, was door sales for his car wash company that would later net him enough money to buy fireworks for the Fourth of July. "My parents said we did not have any money. I knew that was a lie, but I went anyway. I have made my own money since."
If you ask Nick what he feels the key to success is, he would say, "Do the work. It is not fashionable or even slightly pretty. Just do the work."
He enjoys walking on the beach, working out, and traveling. When he is not on the road, he spends time with his two cats, Azula and Zuko, reading, and working.

Kristin Maggio was a Navy SEAL spouse for 20 years. She met her husband in her early 20's, got married and moved across the country to start their lives in California. After a 20+ year career, her husband retired in September of 2022 and that’s when they transitioned into the civilian world.
During this transition, they were so blessed to have several foundations help us on this journey. The SEAL Future Foundation helped her husband in several ways to make the transition smoother. To give back they decided to volunteer as the forward operating base leaders to help other Navy SEALs and their families as they transition and go on their journey to civilian life.
While in the military, she started to take an active role helping fellow SEAL families during deployments, which developed into her wanting to have a bigger part in other kids' lives. She started volunteering for military families to help them as they had new babies, and assisted with childcare when they were not close to family.
Currently her kids are almost college bound and still playing soccer. She and her husband are getting ready to face the empty nest identity, another life transition and she cannot wait to see what comes next!
