We are all given 24 hours a day - yet the outcome of how we use those hours differ greatly. Some feeling stressed, overwhelmed and left-behind and some living up to their full potential, while maintaining a healthy balance between all aspects of life. How can we get things done in a fulfilling, effective way? That is what I, Miriam Beyers, explore in this podcast. This podcast is all about time, productivity, focus, and working on powerful projects. Thanks for listening! Let's connect on LinkedIn :) @Miriam Beyers, PhD.

20: PhDtalk - Academic theft & the impact of community on sustainable behaviours| Maria Toft

Beware of pickpockets šŸ‘œ 🚨

You do the work, you get the credits, right?

Unfortunately, not always.

In a scientific environment under pressure for ever more publications and fewer spots at the top - misconduct can be tempting.

I spoke to Maria Toft - academic and climate activist in Copenhagen about change to the better.

Maria experienced how her superiors tried taking credit of her work and felt the impacts that had on her life. In this episode

Maria shares with us:

šŸ•Š her fight for justice

✊ her campaign 'Please don't steel my work' #pleasedontsteelmywork

āœ‰the stories of many PhDs with similar experiences

šŸŽ“ her vision of a fresh start for academia

🌿 her research on community-driven change with regards to sustainability.

Thank you so much for listening and have a great week,

Miriam

... and ja No idea what happened to my hair :D
