3.33 Top 8 beginner writing advice tips

Prompted by a listener question, we share the tips we wish we’d known when we started writing our first book. If you’re a new writer, then this episode is for you!

Our top 8 tips:

  1. Finish the book
  2. Don’t expect to find your voice right away - and that’s okay
  3. Try to enjoy the process - writer what you like
  4. It’s okay if it’s hard
  5. Think about point of view and tense - but it’s okay to mess up
  6. There’s no one right way to write a book
  7. Be consistent with your routine (but it’s okay to take a break)
  8. Just keep writing
