When Desperation Turns Us Bad. A Psychological Deconstruction of Walter White: #309

One of the more excellent Blockbuster shows of recent decades: Breaking Bad. This episode focuses on a deconstruction of the show's main character, Walter White, disassembling the factors and ingredients that necessitate his moral collapse, and exploring how they relate to our broader human experience.

305: Untold Stories of the Berlin Jews: Berlin's Hollow Homes by Trevor Carroll

Take a walk down Berlin's cobbled streets with my good friend, Trevor Carroll. In this book Trevor explores a range of untold and lesser known stories of the Berlin Jews at the time of Nazism and WWII, triggered by his trips to Berlin decades later and stumbling upon Stolperstein, tiny memorials for the old occupants of homes in Berlin, most of whom never made it home.I explore the book and all the beautiful things I took from it. I'll also look to get Trevor on the podcast soon to talk more about this journey.

302: Reflecting on the TV Show LOST: Locke vs Jack vs Ben (Episode 1 of 2)

FIRST OF TWO EPISODES: LOST was a smash hit TV series which aired for 6 seasons, about a group of plane crash survivors marooned on a mysterious island. What intrigues me about it is how it started as a classic, TV hit drama, but slowly evolved to unpack powerful themes, major questions, and an impactful story that probably doesn’t get the credit it deserves. What’s the symbolism of Jacob? Why is John so different to Ben? What’s Jack’s journey? In these two episodes, brother Mitch and I explore the soul of the show, from the depth of the major characters to the big themes and personal takeaways. Enjoy!Watch the full episode on YouTube or Spotify, or listen to it wherever you get your podcasts.JOE'S WEBSITE (Check out my books!)https://withjoewehbe.com/bookSUMMARY00:00 Introduction and Guest Introduction00:44 Discussing the Show 'Lost'01:58 Revisiting the Show's Timeline03:00 Philosophical and Religious Themes17:55 Character Analysis: Benjamin Linus28:06 Character Analysis: John Locke34:00 Character Analysis: Jack Shepard44:02 The Mysterious Jacob48:43 Ben & John Relationship; The Creepy Cabin

An Unusual Book About The Workplace. "Holy Sh!t, It's Only... Tuesday?" with Bevo and Paul Rowse

Check out the new book here: https://www.itsonlytuesday.com.au/

The Backstory:

'Holy Sh!t, It's Only... Tuesday?' is a book by Paul Rowse and his eminence, the one and only Joe Wehbe.

What started as a serious non-fiction book inspired by Paul's multi-decade business and life journey, turned into a fiction book! A satire on the workplace, a comedic story about two cleaning companies.

Instead of insight and wisdom, the story is full of clueless characters who try (largely in vain) to improve their workplace culture... and their lives.

It's available to purchase online via Amazon.
