Annina Van Neel is the founder and CEO of The Tiekie Box Project which is a black cultural #heritage organisation working to decolonise Black history and #archaeology and to make this heritage accessible to the African #Diaspora and descendant communities. You walk in the rain and you feel the rain, but, importantly, YOU ARE NOT THE RAIN.” Dr Nozuko Mkabayi is Chief Executive Officer in the Department of Health in South Africa. She has over 28 years of experience as a medical #doctor. She specialises in #pediatrics and child #health. We met at Howard College at the University of Natal, Durban, now called the University of KwaZulu-Natal. We lived in the same on-campus residence called John Bews. October is Mental Health month. Nozuko has been diagnosed with #bipolar disorder and is a fierce mental health advocate. Her resilience through adversities. Picking herself up every time she falls. Being a guide and support to many suffering in the shadows. Her never giving up is blessing to many that she is helping.
