Top Two at Two - 11/4
1. Today is the 35th day of the government shutdown. That means this shutdown is now tied as the longest in American history. It ties the shutdown during President Trump's first term. That one ended on Day 35. It's likely this one will surpass that and take the title. On this Day 35, air transportation is edging towards chaos with Thanksgiving looming. People whose SNAP food assistance didn’t come are crowding food banks. 700-thousand people here in Wisconsin rely on those benefits, known as FoodShare in our state. 2. Husar’s House of Fine Diamonds will soon be closing its doors for good after 75 years. Siblings and Owners Mike and Mary Husar are retiring from the family-owned jewelry shop started in 1951 as a watch shop by their father Marvin. The Husar’s say they don't have a final date for when their store on Main Street will close, but they plan to keep running until they run out of inventory.
