Why Are So Many Influencers Getting Divorced or Cheated On? [Podcast]
There has been a flurry of celebrity and influencer divorces and cheating situations happening recently, more than usual. At least, that’s what it feels like. While this is a little bit of a divergence from our typical topics, this does tie into personal development because your life partner, as Alex Hormozi says, is one of the most important decisions of your life and most people spend more time thinking about what car to buy than who to partner with. It’s a shame, and I think this podcast episode will be really entertaining and fun, but also informative on what they didn’t think much about before committing.

Men of Action vs Personal Brand Creator Pro Review: Best Instagram Social Circle Dating Program?
In this episode, we shine a spotlight on Michael Sartain, a performance coach and creator of the game-changing “Men of Action” program.
Michael’s journey is a tapestry woven with diverse experiences – from his days at the University of Texas to a successful tenure in the United States Air Force as a KC-135 navigator. His achievements include being named Navigator of the Year for his squadron in 2008 and receiving an Air Force Achievement Medal for his planning efforts during the Summer Surge in Afghanistan in 2009.
Post-military life saw Michael’s pivot to the vibrant city of Las Vegas, where he transitioned into hosting events, becoming a milionaire, and eventually became a self-help coach. You probably know him more from this era since his social media content has a lot of preselection with women. The culmination of his life lessons led to the creation of the “Men of Action” program in 2019.
“Men of Action” is more than a dating program; it’s a comprehensive guide to building an abundant lifestyle by becoming a better man and leader while teaching you how to network with high-quality women and high-status men. Michael’s expertise extends beyond dating, incorporating elements of social networking, leadership, entrepreneurship, mindset, and finance. This episode takes a closer look at the program “Men of Action” and his coaching from the inside and compares it to another awesome program called Personal Brand Creator Pro by Corey Chaloff. Spoiler alert: Both programs are amazing. You should get both. They’re different programs although they have some things in common.
Corey is a professional videographer who used to work for the world’s largest dating and pick up artist organization Real Social Dynamics. He has transitioned to working as professional videographer and social media director. He has traveled to over 15+ countries and crafted content for prominent figures such as Vegas Dave, Michael Sartain, Bravo, Black Tape Project, Tao Group, Playboy Maxim, Connected Cannabis, Alien Labs, Real Social Dynamics, leading self-development companies, Steve Aoki, 2 Chainz, G Eazy, Tory Lanez, stock trading experts, and numerous others. He has a lot of experience in dating advice, social media strategy, videography, photography, and personal branding, that all combine in a unique way to be one of the only ones who know how to take the type of photos that will improve your dating life and status.

What Is Men of Action?
Michael Sartain has described MOA the most comprehensive personal development program and community for men in the modern world. It’s a very comprehensive set of video courses. When I include the bonus recorded group call videos associated with each module topic, it took me eight months to complete the course, working on it several hours per week.
The course has a large dating advice section, a large social circle networking section, a leadership advice section, a finance and stock trading section, a communications skills section, an event hosting and inviting section, and a lot more. There’s probably over 300 hours of videos, and I had to listen to a lot of it at 1.5 and 2x speeds.
Depending on the package you purchase, you get access to a Skool forum with other members and an active community and network of members living in almost every major city in the English-speaking world, several group coaching calls per week, (if you choose the higher tier) 1 on 1 calls with Michael, and if you want all the bells and whistles, access to other programs they offer such as the Social Media Bootcamp which gives you photoshoots that uplevel your dating apps and social media quickly and Immersion which teaches you how to behave normally around very attractive women by immersing you in the Vegas nightlife scene.

How to 10x Your Status: My Review of Personal Brand Creator Pro After Completing the Course
There’s a lot of conflicting advice about what leads to success in career, business, and dating. One thing almost everyone agrees on is that more status is better than less status. In this podcast episode, I review a course that I invested in and finished. This program Personal Brand Creator Pro promises to 10x your social status to improve your networking, career, business, or dating. The course is in its own niche because there really isn’t anything else out there that does specifically what it teaches, which is how to optimize your Instagram profile photos, bio, profile photo, call-to-action, link, and videos to maximize how people perceive you and reach out to you. By 10xing your Instagram, he will help you get more responses and reach-outs from the people you want to contact and turn those into events, results, or business.
I go into a lot more detail in the episode, but essentially, you’ll learn if the program was worth it, the pros and cons, my honest review after finishing all the 300+ videos, what it promises to give you, why Instagram is still the #1 social media app for networking, throwing events, and social circle growth (over TikTok and other new apps), what makes this course unique, how I found out about it through Michael Sartain, frequently asked questions answered, common mistakes I see beginners make while going through the program, whether the course is too on-dimensional or superficial by focusing on status, and much more.

As a fan of upfront conclusions, I will say I believe it was worth it. I had gone to many places for vacation or tourism, and the photos I took were terrible. They made me look like a commoner, and I can’t even post them. Looking back, I wasted many opportunities because I had no idea how to take a good photo with good composition that makes you look incredible and high-status. The good news is that I now have discovered this secret skill that will bring me to the next level.
Check out Personal Brand Creator Pro (affiliate link)
The program is jam-packed with content (300+ videos worth), additional deliverables (LUTS, a budget calculator, recommended photo locations, and presets) and a Facebook community and Q&A section. That said, there are some things I think could be better about the program, which you’ll hear about in the podcast. For one, it’s an ongoing skill that requires consistent effort to get better at to build results. And it’s a long-term investment with a gradual pay-off to get results.

I Paid My Favorite YouTube Fitness Coach Gokuflex to Train Me For 3 Months
Imagine following fitness YouTubers for many, many years, wishing you could be coached personally by them. And then doing nothing about it because you can’t afford to even consider it.
That was me. I lived off free YouTube videos (thousands of them) and affordable e-books for my fitness journey.
At some point, I graduated to paying for a pricy CrossFit gym membership for a few years.
But after not seeing the size gains I wanted and a few other reasons, I decided to try something new. Let’s give bodybuilding a shot, and what if I just hired the #1 YouTuber that I would want coaching from? The cost wasn’t cheap at all, and I can’t say I was really comfortable to spend that much of my savings. But what was the alternative? Wait another ten years, procrastinating from doing anything.
I did it. And what a journey it’s been. For the last three months, every day was very challenging. Almost all of it was new to me. I was given very strict macronutrients to follow. I had to learn how to cook and stuff in enough protein in every day. It became a major focus of my day. At the same time, I had to balance a demanding full-time job, managing social media, emails, and other things on the side, personal life, and I was traveling during this time.
I am very proud of myself. The challenges were tough, and the amount of time spend shopping for groceries, trying different foods I could tolerate, dealing with coaching that wasn’t as great or interactive as I expected, and other things was immense. But I did it. I stuck to the macros, the cardio, the exercises prescribed. I worked out and ate better and did more of that than ever before. Coming from a habit of being able to eat anything I wanted made it more difficult.
I want to recap my journey and review my coaching experience with the YouTuber Matt Kido, Gokuflex. This podcast episode tells you my story, my experience, my struggles, what I learned, and why I don’t think this coach specifically is worth it for you and why coaching in general is still worth it.

How To Escape Your Hometown And An Average Life
To some, moving out of your home state and home town in the USA is easy. Sure, it’s definitely easier than other countries. People seem to do it all the time. Most of my classmates were able to achieve that for college or after college.
For the rest of us, it’s much harder than it is for everyone else. In this podcast episode, I detail some of my story and challenges with doing so, as well as learning to love and appreciate what I have when moving as an option wasn’t working out, such as the easy access to visit family.
Since I have finally moved away, I’ve met many people who see moving across different states as easy or not newsworthy. I’ve also met people who would love to travel or move away and haven’t found a way, so they’ve also made the most of it. I’ve also visited towns and cities where you can tell by the makeup of people that they are from this area and have or will never move away, for whatever reason. Many people are still constrained to certain regions or states because of the limitations of family or work opportunities.
I talk about this, and hopefully, give some inspiration and tips on how it can be done when you think it’s not possible. I know it wasn’t as easy for me. To this day, despite the rise of remote work, some employers still have a bias for people who already live nearby when it comes to fielding interviews and job candidates, even if you’re willing to move and cover the costs yourself. I cover some strategies for getting around that.
If you’re one of those people where this comes easy to you, leave a comment and let us know how you did it. Any positive, helpful tips are welcome.

The Astonishing Reason Why Most People Fail Miserably At Their Goals [Podcast]
Do you know someone who is constantly spinning their wheels and falling short of the growth they desire in health, wealth, career, love, and life? Perhaps, this person has spent years trying a cycle of endless tactics handed down by online influencers to build a YouTube channel but they fail each time or they haven’t made a dent on their physique/fitness. In this podcast episode, we delve deeper into why this is and how to possibly fix it.
In a world saturated with quick fixes, this podcast uncovers the one missing piece that holds many back from true progress: the inner game. Join us as we explore the power of addressing the inner self and dismantling psychological and emotional barriers through their limiting beliefs.
While most people merely scratch the surface with tactics and information, we delve into the uncharted territory of inner work.
It’s a common story, and I believe I’ve discovered one crucial reason behind this perpetual floundering: an overemphasis on tactics preached by online influencers. The key lies in addressing the inner work—the inner game. It’s time to acknowledge and tackle the psychological and emotional barriers that hold us back from realizing our potential. And that’s precisely what this podcast episode is all about.
Join us as we dive into the depths of the inner self and explore how to dismantle these invisible blockers. It’s intriguing to note that most people shy away from discussing this crucial aspect. Instead, they opt for a never-ending list of tactics and information. But here’s the catch: those tactics only benefit those who are already thriving, leaving the rest of us longing for more.
Don’t miss out on this episode that delves deeper, beyond the tactics, into the heart of personal growth. Stay tuned as we reveal the secrets to overcoming inner obstacles and paving the way to a fulfilling life.

How I Find the Motivation to Consistently Get Things Done [Podcast]
I asked my email newsletter what they wanted to hear about. One of my readers, Joe wrote in with this request.
I am curious to hear about how you find the time and discipline to keep pushing out emails and videos. (Maybe you’ve already written about this somewhere)

I have a small blog myself and find it hard to find the motivation to keep writing. Even when I do sit down to write, I write very slowly, taking weeks to get out a short article.

I guess it could be generalized to procrastinating on big projects in general (like cleaning the house, patching holes in the wall)

Physical or mental challenges (like learning chess, go, poker, memory competitions) would be interesting, although I would understand if that’s not the type of content you want your brand to be about. Doesn’t have to be video, written progress report type articles would be interesting.”

This podcast episode breaks down my thoughts and system towards how I’m able to put out consistent blog posts, youtube videos, and emails to my newsletter. Thousands of pieces of content have been released over the ~8 year life of this brand so far. Here’s how I did it.

I Did CrossFit for 5 Years: Here are the Pros and Cons
I have a very unique perspective of seeing the ins and outs of working out at a CrossFit gym for five years, for 4 to 5 days a week. Most videos or books about the topic are people who tried CrossFit for 5 days or 30 days or a week, which gives a very superficial perspective. Having seen all the pros and cons of what it’s really like to be part of the CrossFit community, this podcast episode unveils it all.
I talk about a lot of things, including pros and cons of CrossFit you never realized, how people get a lot of false ideas about it from afar (that it’s a cult, that women will look too manly, that it’s too intimidating, etc.), I talk about where it really shines from other alternatives, and where it falls short. We address some common factors like how expensive it is, injury risk, biases, the bad perception of kipping pull-ups and how outsiders falsely judge that, and a lot of interesting things you didn’t know or consider (high turnover of coaches and students, how the community is like no other and can help with mental health and self care).
There’s so much tea to spill. You’ll have to listen to the episode to find out more.

Subscribe to my podcast on Apple.
I paid 10 times as much as friends, coworkers, and other people my age for my gym membership. And I make roughly the same amount in income as them. Well, up to ten times. If they have a cheap membership from Planet Fitness or Gold’s Gym or something similar, then yes. If they have a premium membership to a luxury gym like lifetime fitness or earth treks, I paid more than two times.

At first, this situation may seem like madness for a personal-finance junkie like me. I’ve literally written personal-finance articles for top publications like founder. Why would someone so interested in saving money for the power of compound interest willing to spend so much on the gym?

The truth is I can’t rationalize all of it. I’d much rather pay $50 a month for what I’m getting now and that would be much more reasonable. You get much less Non-barbell related equipment Then at a commercial gym.

I pay for CrossFit because of the community. I see people there I recognize every day and there usually more friendly and open to talking to fellow classmates and strangers than a commercial gym. That community helps my mental health because I got very lonely at a commercial gym. I would reach out all the time and talk to people at a commercial gym ( planet fitness, though I’ve tried others like Gold’s Gym and LA fitness with similar results ) But there would be is some distance with people are trying to make friends with. They don’t want to talk to strangers as much, they keep away, you often don’t see them again for a while, and are often in the zone wanting to get a workout in with their headphones on.

An aside reason would be for the strength gains I’ve made at CrossFit. The programming had so much barbell work that it’s almost ingrained into the culture of the gym. There’s enough experience people there to guide me and point out small problems I have with my form. When you combine that together with consistency in patients over the last three years, I’ve PRed On various lives constantly, from the back squat to the benchpress to the deadlifts. I just never got that at a commercial gym, where free weights and machines often reigns supreme. There’s something about barbell exercises that just push your muscles to work harder, plus it’s easy to track my progress and compare results. In addition, there is a competitive aspect to the sport, which pushes me to work harder.

That does come with its downsides, as I have to focus hard to not let my forms slip as I’m raising others, something I’m much more cognizant of and concer...

The Strange World of Dating Gurus: How To Find A Legit Coach
The world of dating advice is similar to walking through a regional market in Asia: everyone’s trying to sell you how high-quality their product is, happy to tell you it’s the genuine thing, when a lot of it is counterfeit or poor material. You never know if it’ll work or not, because it all looks good, when in reality, a good portion of it is garbage. You’re just searching for those moments when something’s actually decent.
Nowadays, there’s a lot of attractive, new dating coaches popping up on social media: Courtney Ryan, Dating By Blaine, Lloyd, ACE formula, Everlasting Confidence, and plenty more. What people fail to realize is just because they’re good-looking women or around attractive women doesn’t mean they give effective advice; it just means they have an edge to catch your attention and market to you and show a little social proof. Just because they get a lot of views doesn’t mean their advice is impactful or effective. It just means they’re good at catching and holding people’s attention even if the advice is garbage, which is a good signal to the social algorithms. And just because they have thousands of customers doesn’t mean they have good teachers that can transfer their strategies to you and get results; it just means they’re good at selling and parting people of their money.
I would go even further to say that just because they have a few testimonials saying how their advice was good or how they felt better afterwards doesn’t mean anything if the comments are generalized or broad. Those are vague, non-tangible results!
Now, to balance things out, I’m not just one of those hater keyboard warriors who spouts negativity and never buys a course. I’m fairly open-minded. I’ve invested in courses and in-person coaching in many areas of life, and I’ve tried things out despite my skepticism. That said, I do want to caution people because while there’s plenty of people who are overly skeptical, there are also people who are too naive. I mean you can tell many are eating up the advice of these gurus without a second guess. And so, hopefully, you can use my thoughts here to navigate the waters of the internet and avoid the sharks because there are charlatans in every topic, from dating to life coaching to starting an Amazon FBA or ForEx business.

One thing to focus on is longevity. If this person’s product and program disappears into the wind after a year or two of release. It probably didn’t do an effective job. It either wasn’t profitable or the lack of results lead to a destruction of reputation. There was one dating app program out there that came out guns blazing called Endless Options by someone well known in the dating realm. A lot of people were talking about it, and I saw a lot of ads for it. A year later, he disappeared. The program and website were gone too.
Even that’s not a full-proof method for sifting through what’s effective because the issue with selling coaching online is that they can bury evidence of bad experience. They ask for and collect good testimonials. The ones who didn’t like the course aren’t going to have their opinions or voices collected, heard, or shown to their following obviously. So, their complaints are usually kept to themselves.
Another issue with their advice online is that it’s so focused on random tips that have no substantial impact. They sometimes just need to keep up with creating random tips to create daily content to grow their following and appease social algorithms. I saw one guru make a short video about how “active listening” is the biggest turn on for women. Sure, I can see how that can be a nice-to-have in a relationship once they got to know you, but without that nuance, it can lead men astray because there are clearly much more important traits you nee...

Why People Love Jordan Peterson and How He Can Change Your Life
Yep, I finally finished Jordan Peterson’s book 12 Rules for Life and figured out why so many young men love him and hype him up.
In this podcast episode, I touch on my initial impressions, why people love him, how he’s so effective with his advice, the reasoning behind his advice, the different layers and fields he uses to back up his points, areas I agree and disagree, additional tips based on my own experiments and learnings, and how you can use it to improve your life. I dive deep into his first “rule” to break down what he truly means and the nuances to it so that you can more effectively use it to improve your life because it can be easy to miss stuff with how dense or thorough his ruminations and ramblings go.

Also, one thing I didn’t mention in my videos that is important is that Jordan mentions the phrase “dominance hierarchies” a few times. One distinction he goes onto make later on in videos that he doesn’t in the book is that “competence hierarchies” are a better way of describing these organizations. That’s because dominance implies bringing others down, taking something away from them, to boost yourself up. However, what we really find is that people with status are generating win-win relationships and being generous with the value they create that boost their status rather than bringing others down.
Another point I want to make is that you don’t need to strive to be exactly like Jordan. His daughter has admitted online that Jordan was rather peculiar and eccentric; he had dozens of types of paint in the house, the house was filled with Soviet paintings, and the dense material of his lectures would be common dinner conversation. Some of his eccentricities probably fuel his curiosity, which lead to his knowledge and communication skill. However, I don’t think that style of life and taste is the only path to success. There’s many flavors of success, and I don’t think you need to emulate that. For example, there’s plenty of successful people who have normal, upbeat dinner conversation.

Will Chou's Personal Development Show Podcast
I Spent Thousands of Dollars on Every YouTuber’s Course So You Don’t Have To [Podcast]
Successful YouTubers make a lot of money doing what they love. That’s obvious and no secret.
So, you may not be surprised to find that a lot of them sell courses on how they did it. Over the years, I’ve bought almost every course, book, or program that’s come out, including ones from people who make YouTube videos about how to make YouTube videos.
Some recent purchases I made include:

* Multiple cohorts of Creator Now
* VidSummit replays
* Matt D’Avella’s course
* Fidias’s course (you had to buy an NFT to buy it haha)
* Lost Leblanc’s Lost Creator Academy
* Derral Eves’s book and companion course
* MKBHD’s and Ninja’s MasterClass course

Other purchases I’ve made since 2014 include:

* a VidSummit VIP package including a lunch
* a live cohort with Tim Schmoyer’s Video Creators classmates

There’s an endless stream of courses and more coming out every year. There’s new entrants and existing flagships, like Pat Flynn’s YouTube course, Leon Hendrix’s upcoming course, ThinkMedia’s courses, Graham Stephan’s course, Colin and Samir’s course, the question is… is it worth it? And is there a point when more courses aren’t going to help? Can any of these courses fulfill the dream promised of a successful YouTube channel or is it mostly on you? Is it worth the cost or can you find it all online for free? Which one’s have good accountability and community? How much of it really relies on a talent x-factor that can’t be transferred through a course?
Find out all that and more in today’s podcast episode. *hint: Depends on the course – Some are definitely worth it, some not so much.

Will Chou's Personal Development Show Podcast
Your number one resource for personal development advice that does not suck. We try to stay data and science-backed and only source advice from the best in the field from millionaires and billionaires. This show is different from others because: we are not focused on excessive quantity at the risk of losing quality. We will not interview everyone who has a pulse just to put out content. We only study the best in the world.
We believe that success is more than just which top performer made the most money. Success, in our books, is about happiness, fulfillment, purpose, health, family time, no regrets, having a career or business you are passion about, maintaining a great reputation, and keeping great relationships.
This podcast is meant to address the big gaps in knowledge for men so that they do not fall into the same traps of making a lot of money only to find themselves unfulfilled or unhappy. Money is an important part of true success but not the only part. This is your one stop shop to discover self development, business, entrepreneurship, dating, and self improvement resources, books, and information you won't hear anywhere else.
