This episode was recorded back in October, we start of the podcast with a blind flight to get our sensory skills into the mood. Later on we open up the Wild Turkey 70th Anniversary and new bottle from EverNorth Spirits Co.
This episode was all about Whiskey Boys big trip down to Kentucky. The places he toured, visited and drank darn good Kentucky Bourbon at. Its a long one filled with a ton of cool experiences from his time in the bourbon capital.
With Dylan just returning from a trip to Fargo, Whiskey Boy and Dylan hit record and talk about what he was able to find while in North Dakota. Later they discuses Whiskey Boys soon approaching trip to Kentucky.

About a month ago rumors broke that the beloved Old Grand Dad 114 was kicking the bucket. A WhiskeyTuber released a video discussing an article from Vine Pair stating that insider information from Jim Beam was going to stop making OGD 114.
The good news is at the time of uploading this Podcast the videos description has been updated stating "people at Beam reached out to me to let me know that Old-Grand Dad 114 is indeed still in production and will continue to be."
That being said this episode looks at the news swirling around at the time of these rumors and what our thoughts where.

Its normal to think that when you spend more money on a product, you receive a product that has more to offer. Whether it's an economy car vs a luxury car, or maybe cheep plane tickets vs first class. We think at times that justifies shelling out more monkey then maybe we need to.
But when it comes to whiskey, would you be able to pick out a cheep whiskey next to an expensive one? Perhaps your saying reading this thinking " Absolutely, only a complete novice wouldn't be able to tell the difference!"

While waiting for our fourth member of the podcast to arrive. Zach decides to quiz Liquor Boy and Dylan on the rich history of Scotch Whisky. Do they have the knowledge to pass Zach's quiz, most likely not. Stupid quiz, who actually knows these questions?
In the first meeting of "The League of Rotund Men" finished Bourbon is put under the preverbal microscope.
Bourbon is a highly regulated category in the United States. With a number of legal criterias, one of which is the need to be aged in new charred oak containers. Now however with the booming popularity of bourbon finishing, it seems that there is an never ending increases of Bourbons finding their way into more unique finishing barrels.
Today as the current definition stands, any Bourbon that is transferred into a seconded barrel that isn't a new charred oak barrel, would not be legally a Bourbon. This is what leads us to our podcast topic. Should whiskeys that are finished be allowed to still hold on to the name Bourbon for labeling purposes?

March 3 marked the 127th anniversary of the Bottle and Bond Act. In 1897 the act was made into law for the reason to protect consumers from fraudulent whiskey producers and rectifiers. Fast forward to the present, the day of rectifiers have long such passed and many consumers don't know what Bottled in Bond is. Or, if they do know what it is, most won't be able to tell you what it means... This brought a question forward. Is Bottle In Bond Still Relevant?

Crowded Barrel released two different whisky's, both called McGimmick 15 year Single Grain. Today Dylan reviews one of them that was finished in Chardonnay barrels. Link to the video version of this review below.

As the podcast enters closer into its forth year of recording. The need for updates and changes have become more apparent. In the first part of this episode we will go over those changes and how they will be used to improve the content that we create.
