Mr. Darcy and Adelle (Pride and Prejudice Theme Songs Episode 2)

The first character from Jane Austen's magnum opus who we will be discussing theme song style is Mr. Fitzwilliam Darcy, the main romantic interest of the book. I picked a song that represents his character arc, Chasing Pavements by Adelle, so let's see what my dad (Seth Atwater, MA of Marriage and Family Therapy) thinks about my choice! Mr. Darcy is a really psychologically interesting character, so I'm excited to get into it.

Pride & Prejudice & The King of Rock & Roll (Pride & Prejudice Theme Songs Episode 1)

We're back with a new theme song series! For the next few months we're going to be covering each of the main characters in Jane Austen's Pride and Prejudice and analyzing their psychology and writing by giving them a theme song that represents them. For this week my dad (Seth Senior, MA of Marriage and Family Therapy) has chosen a song to represent the entire book and the main relationships that develop within it. And that song is Happy Ending by none other than the king of rock and roll himself, Elvis Presley!

Welcome to What Stories Say, a podcast where my dad and I—Seth Atwater (MAMFT) and Seth Jr—talk about how different stories relate to music, mental health, and more! My family watched the Pixar movie Wall-E recently and my dad and I both agree it's one of their best films, if not the best. And by Sheer coincidence I was listening to a song that turned out to be a perfect fit for the movie: Celestial by Ed Sheeran. I'll explain why if you listen in to this episode!

Welcome to What Stories Say, a podcast where my dad and I—Seth Atwater (MAMFT) and Seth Jr—talk about how different stories relate to music, mental health, and more! Theme Songs - The Goose Girl and Rush

Welcome to What Stories Say, a podcast where my dad and I—Seth Atwater (MAMFT) and Seth Jr—talk about how different stories relate to music, mental health, and more! Few pieces of prose feel as poetic as Shannon Hale's The Goose Girl, a retelling of the classic fairy tale of the same name. My dad has picked out a song this week that speaks to its beautiful writing style and the magical abilities of the main character. And of course it's another Rush song.

Welcome to What Stories Say, a podcast where my dad and I—Seth Atwater (MAMFT) and Seth Jr—talk about how different stories relate to music, mental health, and more! The final renaissance princess is Mulan, who according to the Disney company gets her status as a princess from her bravery and heroism, which is connected to the mythological status of her original story. This movie is a bit different, so I'm excited to talk about how Mulan and Li Shang's relationship might turn out after the story!

What Stories Say with Seth and Seth
Theme Songs - The Stormlight Archive and Hiroyuki Sawano

Welcome to What Stories Say, a podcast where my dad and I—Seth Atwater (MAMFT) and Seth Jr—talk about how different stories relate to music, mental health, and more! War is a hard subject to tackle, and it is very complicated, just like Brandon Sanderson's epic fantasy war saga The Stormlight Archive. I thought the best way to tackle a story of this magnitude would be to focus on a particular character, so I chose a theme song for one of the protagonists, Dalinar Kholin. The song I picked is Voices of the Cord by Hiroyuki Sawano, a Japanese composer whose music captures the strife of war unlike any other. I hope you enjoy our deep dive into Dalinar's character!
