S3 E3 starts off with a recap of Ed's Blind Date which lasted 8 hours with 4 different activities/dates with the same person. Susie's parents are still living in the rental property closeby but her parents are not sure what they are going to do with the house. Susie and Ed watched the first 8 episodes of Singles Inferno Season 4, as planned last episode. First are first impressions of the cast. Susie and Ed discuss their biases and impressions of the female cast and then of the male cast. Susie wants to be a commentator on the American version of the show if there ever is one. Wildfires and TikTok Ban

S3 E2 starts with an update on Ed's blind date. Ed is still living out of suitcases since the wildfires started and is scared for all the ash on the ground his dogs keep sniffing. Susie has had a busy couple of weeks. Susie finds out her parents' neighborhood is a part of the wildfires and they are displaced from their home. Susie has been helping her parents and mourning the loss of her childhood while helping those in need as much as possible. Susie didn't even have time to process the TikTok ban because of the wildfires. The community of Los Angeles come together as a community. Ed is terrified of the water and got gout... and also threw out his back. Ed battles misinformation about the TikTok ban. Ed and Ron also donate a lot of their inventory to the wildfire victims. TikTokers admit that they've been lying about their content the whole time before the ban took effect. Ed used to mess with customers when he used to work at Starbucks. TikTokers from other countries talked trash about American TikTokers while TikTok went dark in the USA. Americans TikTokers find refuge in Xiaohongshu/Little Red Book and realize the anti-China propaganda that they have been fed their whole lives. Susie accidentally loses her TikTok app from her phone. Billionaires Shouldn't Exist

On S2 E32 Susie and Ed return with bi-weekly episodes for the time being. Susie has had a busy two weeks with her daughters winning athletic AND academic awards; Christmas shopping and decorating; and all the parental things pre-holidays. Susie's youngest has still been asking about the elf on the shelf a week into December because she still believes in the magic of Christmas, including Santa - which she believes in still BECAUSE OF Susie... comparatively to her more cynical older daughter who stopped believing on her own. Ed has been working on his internal dialogue when it comes to interacting with his mother and has been actively working on not viewing the past with his mother as "owing" him something. Unfortunately, Ed has also been dealing with the loss of one of his childhood best friends who passed suddenly and has been having a hard time getting motivated to make content because of the impact it had on him since. In fact the days started to melt together and Ed got his days mixed up in a funny but embarrassing way. It is also the 1 year anniversary of Archie's adoption/gotcha day. Susie and Ed discuss Luigi Mangione and United Healthcare especially about how the media has been portraying what happened vs the rest of the country. And the lack of care for another school shooting where 15 people lost their lives over one billionaire. South Korea impeaches President Yoon Suk Yeol demonizing North Korea as he schemes to become a dictator of South Korea... while the citizens of South Korea come together in solidarity to impeach him. While Korean American influencers are traveling to South Korea at the same time as this historic event to attend the premiere of the second season of Squid Games while not joining in solidarity with the people of South Korea - at an event about a show about classism as there is a classist war happening in South Korea AND the United States. Ed makes his mom watch Squid Games. We also have some quick write-ins including Pike Place Market being partially owned by an Asian American. On S2 E28, it is finally starting to feel like fall but Ed doesn't know what the PC term of Second Summer. Archie is finally getting some clothes now that the weather is getting cold and hopefully he is at his full and final adult size because he grew out of his puppy clothes so quickly. Archie also got a Halloween costume for next week. Susie is going to be the mom from Mean Girls. Susie has been getting ready for Halloween for her daughters. Her daughter lost a volleyball game to a much taller team and the girls are building character. Larchmont Charter School in Los Angeles had 2 Korean 1st graders ganged up and bullied by other 1st graders who have been bullying the 2 Korean boys for over a year now because they have an accent. Some parents of Larchmont Charter tried to spread false rumors that the two Korean boys were the antagonizers; Ed shuts them down. One of the parents of the bullies works as the Director of HR for SoCalGas. In the UK, 2 white people trademarked the word "pho" successfully and were sending cease and desist to Vietnamese-owned restaurants with the work "pho" in their name and that ends with a satisfying and just end. Mom Talk in Texas has problematic Aaryn leading the pack as her past full of racist and homophobic rants are brought up again from her short time on Big Brother. On S2 E27, it is Archie's 1st Birthday and Susie birthday buddies with Archie. Ed made a cake of Archie's face or at least tried to. Susie's birthday is the day before Archie's but 300+ dog years before Archie. Susie didn't do anything for her birthday but did send her mother flowers. Ed had a great first time in Hawaii eating all the foods and drinking gallons of coconut water while there to try to avoid getting gout. Ed didn't get to watch the film festival. Ed gives Susie a gift from Hawaii. Susie's ex-husband's mother used to have itineraries planned full every day. Ed ate garlic shrimp, shaved ice, mochi donuts, malasadas, and more; otherwise just hung out by the pool and beach. French-Canadians try to appropriate boba by calling their brand Bobba which is technically Bob-ah on the Canadian show Dragon's Den with guest Simu Liu. Then the founders of Bobba claim that boba is "not ethnic anymore" and that they invented "popping boba" which has been around for 10 years and that they make natural boba compared to the unknown substances in Asian-made boba. The other dragon, Manjit Minhas invests in Bobba regardless of Simu's advice and gets backlash and responds by putting out the worst "statement" video. Ed made a similar call out of another boba company who called themselves "Better Boba" last year and made another video following the fall out of Bobba. White people in the UK successfully trademark the word "pho". Panda Express collabs with Hot Ones and Susie loves the last dab sauce. A listener writes in - following up about the niece who didn't take care of her cats and was disrespectful while living with them. Reacting to Kpop: Korean Rap

On S2 E 25, Susie can't stop buying stuff on Tik Tok Shop. People think just because Susie endorses a product, that she is the company who makes/sells the products asking Susie to make exchanges and give refunds, etc. Boars Head is recalled because of a listeria outbreak, but people are spreading false news claiming ramen is recalled. Ed's gout flareup is slowly getting better but even 6-7 yrs in, Ed is still figuring out what foods affect his gout. Ed went to watch the movie he in and helped edit (Pancake Man) at the iconic Mann Chinese Theater in Hollywood, CA. An elderly Asian man is run over by an electric scooter and lost is life in Koreatown, Los Angeles. Colt celebrated his 5th birthday and Ed made him a cake from scratch. Ed also made a mini-cake for the littlest little bro - Archie. Ed doesn't know what to do with the "5" balloon just floating in the house that probably won't deflate for years. AITA for Defending Myself?

On S2 Ep22, Ed has a blur of a week because of his gout and watching Fear the Walking Dead during recovery with the feeling of emptiness you get after finshing binging a show till the end. Susie feels the same about weddings. Susie has a great week - her daughter got into an exclusive clinic for volleyball for top performing kids. For Labor Day, Susie and her sister drank the day before and had to listen to algebra. Susie eats Fatty Mart again. The last week also was filled with a lot for Susie with the TheKoreanMama Drama but not with the Korean Mama but her son, Ed Kim, who runs the account that stemmed from Ed Kim making a video making a lot of condescendingly incorrect assumptions about Soogia but in a very passive aggressive way making it seem like he's talking about "others" while he has a. photo of Susie's profile behind him the whole time. And then Ed Kim says "Twinkies and Bananas are triggered by his mother and his content." Ed makes a video about those terms but gets blamed for being "drama" in an educational video of why those words are derogatory slurs. Ed Kim's mother - Jane Kim still has to work while Ed Kim tries to make his living off content and that was a red flag for Ed (Our Ed). Ed also had beef with Ed Kim of TheKoreanMama during the Chad Kubanoff drama where Ed Kim was very passive aggressive while being dismissive to Ed while supporting Chad.
