What a Creep
"Bad Rap: The Case Against Diddy" Interview with Host Brian Buckmire
What a Creep
Season 29, Episode 3
Brian Buckmire (ABC News Legal Contributor)
Host of Bad Rap: The Case Against Diddy

Sean "Diddy" Combs was among hip-hop's most influential entertainers and entrepreneurs for decades. But Diddy’s star began to implode when a video came out showing the music mogul assaulting his then-girlfriend. There had long been whispers about Diddy's aggression. But critics say his influence and relevance kept the rumors quiet until now. A raft of new lawsuits detail shocking allegations of sexual abuse and manipulation orchestrated in so-called "freak offs" -- sex parties Diddy allegedly ordered, videotaped, and controlled.

Diddy now faces federal charges that include sex trafficking. He has denied all wrongdoing and said all encounters were consensual. A new podcast from 20/20 and ABC Audio traces how whispers of abuse came to light and led to Diddy’s downfall. ABC News legal contributor Brian Buckmire takes listeners inside the rise and fall of Diddy, the allegations and his defense in a six-part weekly narrative series launching March 25, and returning with twice weekly real-time updates once the trial slated for May gets underway. Bad Rap: The Case Against Diddy,

Trigger warning: Sexual assault and sex trafficking.

What a Creep
7th Heaven's Stephen Collins & His Creepy Past/Max's "Hollywood Demons" (REPLAY)
What a Creep
Season 29, Episode 2
Stephen Collins & Jeffrey Jones (Replay ep!)

Stephen Collins is best known for his role on the wholesome WB drama series 7th Heaven, which aired from 1996 to 2007. Jeffrey Jones is likely most recognized for portraying the cartoonish principal in Ferris Bueller's Day Off and the clueless dad in Beetlejuice. The Max show "Hollywood Demons" includes an entire episode discussing Collins's disturbing behavior, featuring testimonies from one of his victims. So we thought replaying this episode while Sonia goes on a well-deserved vacation would be good. Stephen Collins & Jeffrey Jones- What Creeps!

What a Creep
The Bobby Dunbar Disappearance (1912)
What a Creep
“The Disappearance of Bobby Dunbar” (1912)
Season 29, Episode 1

Margo & Sonia love us a creepy historical crime, and what is more puzzling than the case of Bobby Dunbar? In 1912, four-year-old Bobby Dunbar vanished during a family trip to Swayze Lake, Louisiana, sparking a massive search. Eight months later, a boy resembling Bobby was found with a handyman, William Walters, who insisted the child was Bruce Anderson, the son of Julia Anderson. Despite her claims, the Dunbars took the boy and raised him as Bobby. In 2004, DNA testing confirmed he was not biologically related to the Dunbars, meaning the real Bobby Dunbar's fate remains unknown, making this one of history’s most haunting cases of mistaken identity.

What a Creep
Betty Broderick and the Murder of Dan & Linda Broderick
What a Creep: Betty Broderick
Season 28, Episode 9

Betty Broderick is a convicted murderer known for the killing of her ex-husband, Dan Broderick, and his second wife, Linda Kolkena Broderick, in 1989. The case gained widespread media attention (including a memorable appearance on the Oprah Winfrey Show) due to its dramatic elements of betrayal, divorce, and revenge.
Her crimes were the subject of two televison movies starring Meredith Baxter (The Betty Broderick Story) and a USA limited series (Dirty John: Betty) with Amanda Peet and Christian Slater.

Has she ever taken responsibility for the pain she has caused? We will get into that with this episode. Trigger Warnings: DV, mention of suicide, and murder.

What a Creep
The Billionaires Boys Club & Joe Hunt
What a Creep
Billionaire Boys Club's Joe Hunt
Season 28, Episode 8

We’re talking about the Billionaire Boys Club. You might remember it from the 1987 miniseries of the same name, starring Judd Nelson and Ron Silver. You don’t know it from the 2018 movie “Billionaire Boys Club,” starring Ansel Elgort, Taron Egerton, and Kevin Spacey, because it made $618 million in 11 theaters during its opening weekend.

The Billionaires Boys Club was an investment club started by Joe Hunt. Well, he called it an investment club. It was really a Ponzi scheme that led to the murder of two people. What a creep.

What a Creep
Led Zeppelin on the Road: Mud Sharks, Baby Groupies , and Backstage Beatdowns!
What a Creep
Led Zeppelin on Tour
Season 28, Episode 7

Led Zeppelin is making headlines again with releasing their first official documentary in decades, titled "Becoming Led Zeppelin." The film primarily focuses on the band's music and the early stages of their career as iconic touring legends. One of us is a huge fan (the one leading this episode) and appreciates the band’s remarkable talent while also acknowledging their complicated history, which includes some unsettling stories.

Their life on the road has become part of the groupie lore passed down for decades, and there are also stories involving witchcraft and devil worship connected to Jimmy Page. The band officially broke up in 1980 following the death of drummer John Bonham. They have regrouped in various forms over the years, but the late '60s and '70s Led Zeppelin—with their numerous tales of debauchery—form the basis for most of this episode. Let's Ramble On, y'all!

Trigger warnings: SA, sexual harassment, grooming, and host Margo breaking out in song from time to time.

What a Creep
Kendrick Lamar, Drake, and the 2025 Super Bowl (Mustard!!!!!!)
What a Creep
Kendrick Lamar & the Drake Feud
Season 28, Episode 5

The 56th annual Super Bowl became the backdrop for the intense feud between Kendrick Lamar and Drake, one of the most significant rivalries in modern hip-hop. Fueled by long-standing tensions over artistic credibility, lyrical skill, and industry dominance, this conflict has been brewing for over a decade. However, it escalated in 2024 with a series of explosive diss tracks. Kendrick's songs "Euphoria" and "Not Like Us" took direct shots at Drake's authenticity, personal life, and alleged manipulation within the industry.

In response, Drake released "Family Matters," which questioned Kendrick’s relationships and his status as a leader in rap. Now that the world knows this beef, let’s explore some of Drake’s more problematic behaviors. (Yes, we are Team Kendrick here!)

What a Creep
The NFL, Janet Jackson, & the 2004 Nipple Gate Controvesy
What a Creep
The Super Bowl’s Big Wardrobe Malfunction
Season 28, Episode 4

It was the wardrobe malfunction seen around the world. We’re going to talk about the infamous 2004 Super Bowl Halftime Show. The entire country lost their collective mind because they got a glimpse of Janet Jackson’s boob for less than a second during what they like to pretend is a family-friendly cultural event. In reality, we’re watching a brutal sport in which men are getting concussions for our entertainment, sandwiched in between commercials for booze and boner pills.

Was it a planned stunt? Was it an accident? Does it really matter? Some people just used it as an opportunity to shit on Janet Jackson 24/7, and others used it as an opportunity to get on their soapbox to disingenuously ask, “Won’t someone think of the children.”

What a Creep
John Harvey Kellogg: Creepy Cereal Advocate
What a Creep
John Harvey Kellogg
Season 28, Episode 2

Kellogg’s Corn Flakes was the boring cereal in my Kellogg’s cereal variety pack, but it’s the one that started them all. And one of the men behind that cereal was John Harvey Kellogg.
John Harvey Kellogg championed nutrition and a holistic approach to health. But he was also a eugenicist, which, if you don’t know, is the inaccurate theory that humans can be improved through selective breeding of populations. He also advocated for forced sterilization of anyone he deemed unintelligent or immoral. Oh, and he launched a really messed anti-masturbation campaign that saw the genitals of young boys and girls mutilated.

What a Creep
John Hughes & His Most Problematic Movies: Sixteen Candles, The Breakfast Club, Pretty in Pink, & More!
What a Creep
Some of the Creepiest Plots to John Hughes Films
Season 28, Episode 1

John Hughes accomplished the remarkable feat of being a quintessential Baby Boomer while still resonating with Generation X and Millennials through his films. Movies—such as 16 Candles, The Breakfast Club, Ferris Bueller’s Day Off, Pretty in Pink, and She’s Having a Baby—became essential viewing for generations that felt overlooked by mainstream media. He genuinely seemed like “one of us.”

However, when we examine his work through a modern lens, it is difficult to overlook an alarming pattern of racism, homophobia, white privilege,  and sexism, as well as some questionable behavior exhibited by the male leads in his films from the 1980s and 1990s. Some of his movies also reveal a rather creepy element when viewed today.

What a Creep
“The Day the Music Died”
Season 27, Episode 10

"The Day the Music Died" is a phrase coined by singer-songwriter Don McLean in 1971 in his 8-and-a-half-minute song “American Pie.” The tragic deaths of Buddy Holly, The Big Bopper, and Ritchie Valens on February 3, 1959, shocked the world and have been the subject of study for decades. What a Creep
The Disappointment of Gen X Men: Mix Tapes, Manic Pixies, Toxic Fandom, & More!
What a Creep
Season 27, Episode 7
The Disappointment of Gen-X Men

Born between 1965 and 1980, Gen X is often referred to as the “forgotten generation.” They were raised on MTV, punk rock, hiphop, the Cold War, afterschool specials, latchkey childhoods, and a healthy dose of cynicism. They gave us grunge music, independent films, mix-tape culture, and some of the best pop culture of the late 20th century. But along with all that coolness came a hefty dose of entitlement, misogyny, and resistance to change—especially when it came to gender equality.Today, we’re going to break it all down: the mix-tape mentality, toxic fandom, the fetishization of the “manic pixie dream girl,” the anti-hippie ethos, and how these dynamics played out with public figures like JD Vance,  Dave Grohl, Chris Rock, Joe Rogan, and even Kurt Cobain.

What a Creep
Kenneth Starr (Creepy Lawyer) & NON-Creep Thurgood Marshall
What a Creep
Season 27, Episode 6
Ken Starr

Ken Starr was the independent prosecutor who basically wasted millions in taxpayer dollars to investigate President Bill Clinton. He’s also been on the wrong side of history when it comes to gay marriage, religious freedom, and sexual abuse. Over the course of his career, he argued 36 times before the Supreme Court.
Oh, and he mentored Chief Justice John G. Roberts Jr. and Justice Brett M. Kavanaugh. Thanks a lot, creep.
