E30 Skid Row - Youth Gone Wild

It's Movember, and we're here to shed the costumes and the spooky music and get a couple of weeks of normalcy before we are rushed into the holiday season! This week, we pluck Skid Row's "Youth Gone Wild" right out of our own childhoods, talking the history of the band, the different paths they took, and beyond! We play some of the Skid Row tracks beyond the albums that we all know so well, and get into other branches of the family, checking out Sebastian Bach's first band, Kid Wikkid, post-Bach period bands Ozone Monday and The Last Hard Men, and even catch a track from Sebastian Bach's last solo record. Let us hear you wild!

E29 Alice Cooper - Feed My Frankenstein

Boo!

This week on the Wet Tee Shirt Podcast, we are exploring classic movie monsters through the power of rock. We are starting out with Frankenstein, and since Alice Cooper keeps writing songs about Frank we chose The Godfather of Shock himself to build the theme around! We play "Teenage Frankenstein" and "Feed My Frankenstein", then follow it up with our vampire pick - Judas Priest's "Love Bites". For our wolfie banger, we picked Uriah Heep's "Night of the Wolf", and since there aren't any WTSP friendly songs about mummies per se, we picked zombies as the perfect substitute, and went with Ozzy Osbourne's "Zombie Stomp". To round things out we picked a tune about witches, the theatrical "Eye of the Witch" by King Diamond, and went out on Faster Pussycat's cover of "Monster Mash". The whole damned thing is a graveyard smash!

Candace put together a Wet Tee Shirt Podcast Halloween Playlist on Spotify that is a collection of all of the songs that we've played on the show this year that would work for a Halloween party soundtrack! Enjoy:

E28 Dokken - Dream Warriors

One, two...gonna podcast for you!

This week we are again joined by filmmaker Andrew Shearer of Gonzorrific Films because there is no way we could talk about anything related to "A Nightmare on Elm Street" without him. This is a very special episode of our Halloween edition shows, as the three of us were practically raised on Elm Street and are definitely kids who can talk a whole, whole lot about Freddy Krueger and the whole series!  Of course, our focus is at least mostly on "Dream Warriors", but Freddy is such a part of the eighties, so much a part of American culture when the music that we talk about the most was going on. We talk about how special the music video for the song is, also enjoying "Into the Fire" as it appeared in the opening sequence of the film. Then we make our way through the rock of the film franchise that followed! We share Vinnie Vincent Invasion's "Love Kills" from the fourth film in the franchise, Bruce Dickinson's "Bring Your Daughter to the Slaughter" from the fifth, and we slam Sepultura's "The Waste" featuring Mike Patton from the "Freddy vs. Jason" soundtrack...and much, much, MUCH more! If you love these films, if you were raised on Krueger, this show is for you! Happy Halloween!

E27 Motley Crue - You're All I Need

We're on our second of four weeks of Halloween! This one we're dedicating to the murder ballad classic, "You're All I Need". And sure, we're going to talk about Motley Crue's bloody lyricism, and we might be playing "Red Hot" and "Too Young to Fall in Love" during that discussion, but we've already done a Motley episode (Live Wire) this year. And there are more songs about murder and love to explore! So we're also talking about Guns 'n Roses' "Used to Love Her" and Pantera's "This Love". And Kiss' "Hide Your Heart". Because if you want to stay safe, you should always heed their warnings. It's always best to listen to Paul Stanley's advice in sticky situations. For those watching along, we are absolutely in costume - Candace is some freshly murdered ex, and guest co-host Jay Tray is masquerading as Jay Sixx - a damned near copy of what Nikki Sixx looks like when he plays cop dress up.

Summary: Nikki Sixx will kill you if you cheat on him, and it's October at Wet Tee Shirt Podcast!

E26 Dangerous Toys - Scared

Do you like being scared?

We certainly do, and that's why Wet Tee Shirt Podcast is kicking off October with four weeks of Halloween, beginning with the Dangerous Toys classic, "Scared". Candace the Clown has some pretty specific criteria when it comes to music she's up for playing this month, so the songs all have to have something about them that works in a Halloween playlist! Thankfully, Dangerous Toys make playing this game easy...once we get past our spooky news segment, we start off with Jason McMaster's former project, Watchtower, and a song from their only record with him, "Asylum"! Then we make our way into the band that we all know him for, and after watching the "Scared" video, we also catch "Bones in the Gutter" from the same debut album, "Demon Bell" from their contribution to the Wes Craven's "Shocker" soundtrack, we go to 1994's "Pissed" and let things get a little "Strange" before we finish our tour of the Toys' catalog with a listen to "Monster Man" from 1995's "The R*tist 4*merly Known as Dangerous Toys" record. This episode is full of carnival sounds, costumes, finding ways to keep talking about "No More Tears", and spooky ooky things! We even finish you off with Fastway's "Trick-or-Treat". It's time to clown around! Take mommy's lace and the whiskey off the top shelf, rent yourself some spiders, snakes, and rats, and don't forget to allow your hair to dry without a dedicated part! Happy Halloween, first week of October style!

E25 Ozzy Osbourne - No More Tears

It's almost October, and we can't start this spooky season without a session with the Prince of Darkness himself! September is a big anniversary month for a lot of things in the Ozzyverse - Black Sabbath's "Paranoid", Ozzy's debut solo album "Blizzard of Ozz", and of course "No More Tears" all dropped in Septembers! So this week we've got a lot of story to tell - we start with the purest of beginnings, and listen to Earth's "The Rebel" before everything went dark mwahaha - we stop off on "Paranoid" to attend an "Electric Funeral", talk about Sabbath lore and Satanism before making our way to the first solo record and the lawsuit-inducing jam "Suicide Solution". We talk our way through the next ten years to the song of the day, "No More Tears", which leaves us a little speechless. When we recover, we talk about the next ten years, stopping off at "Down to Earth" to catch "Gets Me Through", ending up in 2020 to watch the video for "Under the Graveyard". What a career, what a legend, what an episode!

E23 L.A. Guns - Never Enough

L.A. Guns dropped a new song three weeks ago. We're fashionably late, but have finally joined the party! This week we're summarizing one of the longest, most chaotic tales in rock history to the very best of our abilities all while nursing cocktails. "Never Enough" is the topic of the day, but since Vinnie really needed an L.A. Guns education and since we are on "Cocked & Loaded", we started off by watching the "Ballad of Jayne" music video before getting into the story of the band. We did catch a song off of their 1984 demo, "It's Not True", stop off to watch Phil Lewis be a baby rocker in Girl's "Hollywood Tease", then keep talking Guns history until we get to "Never Enough". We have to listen to "Malaria" while we're still feeling Cocked! Then it's back into a trip through Guns history, stopping off at 1996's Pantera-influenced "American Hardcore" to give "What I've Become" a listen, more history lessons until we arrive at 2020's "Renegades" album, we play "Crawl" before we arrive at 2021 and truly enjoy the gift of genuine, badass new L.A. Guns music in the new release, "Knock Me Down". We also slap on that new track from The Darkness, "Nobody Can See Me Cry" at the end. It's a long story, but at the Wet Tee Shirt Podcast, we keep our whistles wet and our admiration for Phil Lewis and Tracii Guns strong! Nothing but love on the podcast <3

E22 Britny Fox - Girlschool

This week it's after Labor Day, and it's back to school! Wet Tee Shirt Podcast is enrolled in "Girlschool", naturally, so we're talking Britny Fox this week. It's actual Labor Day for us, so Vinnie is LIT rocking that Wet Tee Shirt Podcast merch, drinking that tequila, playing that organ, and hamming it up for the camera, but we manage to explore at least some of the Britny Fox story! Maybe don't start the episode at full volume this week, because of course we did a parody cover of the song for the theme song, and this time Candace pulled out her most muppety of rock voices to startle your eardrums with her rocker screech imitation. You've been warned! Housekeeping and hellos, then we start with the Cinderella beginnings, then we jump right into the song of the episode. We also check out the "Fun in Texas" while we're on that self-titled debut album, talking tour and talking about what we've learned from the band's perspective about what went down as we move into the story behind "Bite Down Hard". We stop off to rock "Six Guns Loaded", and to appease Candace's sense of balance we listen to "Home and a Heart" from Dean Davidson's band that he formed after he left Britny Fox that released their debut that same year, Blackeyed Susan. We couldn't help but talk about the magnificence of 2003's "Springhead Motorshark", playing "Freaktown", and we polish off the episode with a little "Hair of the Dog". This is the kind of party we like to have on a long weekend before we have to get back to work, so strap in and let Wet Tee Shirt Podcast show you the boobs!

E21 Slaughter - Up All Night

And we love Slaughter!

Vinnie finally gave us the falsetto we've been waiting for on this week's episode! We're talking Slaughter, and it's our longest episode yet. We were almost up all night recording it. We were Slaughter fans when "Stick it to Ya" dropped and we're excited to come back to it! We take a look at where it all began in the Vinnie Vincent Invasion explosion of a music video for "Boyz Are Gonna Rock", we head for that debut album and talk about its iconic production, sound effects, album art and then watch the video for "Up All Night". While we were getting it stuck to us, we checked out "Loaded Gun", then took off down the catalog to 1997's "Hard to Say Goodbye" from the "Revolution" album. After discussing the paths that all the guys took, we have a listen to "Turn It" from Mark Slaughter's solo album, "Halfway There". We also check out a cover project called "SlaughtHER" before we pay tribute to Charlie Watts with a classic Rolling Stones track, "If You Can't Rock Me".

If they can't pod you, you know we will! Get in here!

E19 Jackyl - Down on Me

We've got a lot of things going down on us these days, what about you? It's time for a little sun shinin', love rainin' down with Jackyl! We got ourselves a bottle of that Jesse James bourbon and we're exploring the catalog! We feel the heat of love's flame as we listen to "Down on Me", we have to stop by and see "The Lumberjack" video, we watch Tom Green get (some might say) unreasonably angry about Jesse's chainsaw antics. We stop and listen to Jackyl's song with AC/DC's Brian Johnson, "Locked & Loaded", then we check out a track from Jesse's solo album, "Foot Fetish", called "I Don't Share Your Pain", we listen to a song from Jackyl's 2016 release "ROWYCO", "Disasterpiece". We try to end things on the new Guns n Roses track, "Absurd", but end up listening to their live performance of "November Rain" where they mash the song up a little bit with Biz Markie's "Just a Friend". It's a whiskey sour, rock n roll good time!

E18 Cinderella - Coming Home

We're on our wayyyyyyy! We have been so excited to talk Cinderella since before the first episode of the show was shot - we just knew we had to wait until we could do it right! Candace loves Cinderella, and has a lot to say about her recent fandom. We stop by "Pat's Dogs" of course, we go to the 1987 Live in Japan concert to watch Jeff LaBar's magical solo, we get into "Long Cold Winter" through "Coming Home", "Bad Seamstress Blues/Fallin' Apart at the Seams", and "Fire and Ice", and then we check out Tom Keifer's solo work; a live performance of "Nobody's Fool" from just before the pandemic, and the music video for "The Death of Me" from the 2019 release, "Rise". As usual, things take a sharp turn at the end, and we end up on Pantera's "Cemetery Gates". Come on press playyyyyyyy....

We even fit in "School Days" from her days in The Runaways, and pay tribute to Dusty Hill with a little "Cheap Sunglasses". Let go and get in here if you REALLY wanna rock today!

E16 Kix - Get it While it's Hot

Vinnie's gone this week, and that means YIKES - Candace is singing again! This time she's joined by a former guest host, Jay Tray, and we are here to get it while it's hot! It's hot in the real world, it's July, we're in Georgia, it's hot here, so we are getting it. We check out Jay Tray's new album cover reviewer TikTok career, spend a lot of time with "Blow My Fuse", dip into Kix's 2014 album "Rock Your Face Off" to listen to "Dirty Girls", and then of course we check out the brand spanking new release by Kix frontman Steve Whiteman, hot off the digital presses on 7/2/21, from his new solo album "You're Welcome", Candace picked the track "Bad Blood" to introduce us to! All of this to prepare to see them live in North Carolina the day after taping! All of this had us "Sweating Bullets", so we ended things with Megadeth. Next week, we swear we're giving you that Lita Ford episode we've been promising!

E13 Damn Yankees - Coming of Age

It's hot girl summer AND it was American Independence Day weekend AND it’s Tuesday now which means it’s time for a new episode of Wet Tee Shirt Podcast! This is the wildest ride yet, really all over the place...we pay our last respects to a couple of rockers lost in the last week including Skid Row’s Johnny Solinger, we go through the rock history of the supergroup that is Damn Yankees including listening to some Night Ranger, some Styx, and...some of The Amboy Dukes?? We sneak in some Def Leppard, and they’re definitely not American, but we make it up to you by finishing you off with Kiss. Thank you for coming, we hope to make you come again next week...now come come come c-c-c-come on and tune in!

E12 Wet Tee Shirt Podcast Alone

This week, Candace had to do things on her own, and as a result this happened. We're sorry? You're welcome? Listen to a whole choice that she made in singing a parody theme song of Heart's "Alone", her worship of badass guitar players that don't need their own category, wishing repeatedly to be both Ann and Nancy Wilson (or just an additional sister), maybe propositioning them both, and offering a solution to any live problems that Motley Crue might be facing, all while she drinks too much white wine. She only picked out one video this week for you to cringe to (besides her own vocal stylings), so go grab your favorite beverage, brace yourself, and dive in!

E11 Guns n Roses - Mr. Brownstone

GUNSNFUCKINGROSES!!! Candace mentioned in a previous episode that when she asks people what their favorite band of the era is, the answer is always Guns n Roses. Tonight we might not be dancing WITH Mr. Brownstone, but we're definitely dancing TO "Mr. Brownstone"! Eventually. Tequila causes Wet Tee Shirt Podcast to explore a lot of things, so we get into "Anything Goes", we talk "Rocket Queen", we venture out past "Appetite for Destruction" and get into "Don't Cry". We may or may not have stumbled across some new material??? Gotta listen and find out! AC/DC makes a couple of appearances because we are talking about rock, and how do you talk rock without AC/DC?

E10 Dokken - Breaking the Chains

Have you ever had to break the chains? What about unchain the night? This week we're talking about our Dokken fixation, and how we are going to get Dokken tattoos right after the episode. There is a lot to be said, and somehow we say it in the tightest amount of time. We even threw in The Darkness and their hit, "I Believe in a Thing Called Love", explored the last thing that Dokken did in the studio versus the last thing that Lynch Mob did, and managed to come out in barely over an hour. It's almost like we mostly stayed on topic the entire time! That is the power of Dokken, which should never be underestimated.

Nobody wants to rock more than Dee Snider! Nobody is willing to fight harder for their right to rock than Dee Snider! And that's why this week we're talking about the quintessential rock anthem "I Wanna Rock", we're talking the Twisted Sister story, we're talking Dee Snider and his feuds, and we're checking out his new track "I Gotta Rock (Again)"! We absolutely threw a little Alice Cooper into the mix because that's what we need. Now I want you to tell me...better yet, stand up and tell the class. What do you wanna do with your life?
