That's Two! Wests Tigers Trump Manly To Keep Trifecta Alive
We've been here before, fourteen times, but the Wests Tigers are again on the verge of winning three games straight.

Sure, we've picked up two points three weekends straight and won three out of our last four games, but that elusive trifecta remains to be achieved.

On this edition of the Wests Tigers Podcast, Joel is joined by Zac, Nick, and Declan for a review of the 26-12 victory over the Sea Eagles.

Some of the main talking points on the podcast include how the side managed to win back momentum after a shaky start.

The form of Luai and Doueihi in the halves, and what these performances mean for halves make-up in 2026. Some of the other individual performances in the Wests Tigers' latest victory that are looked at include Taylan May, Sione Fainu, and Alex Twal.

Starford To'a looks to have finally succumbed to that shoulder injury. Does that mean Heamasi Makasini makes his debut this weekend? IF not, who might get that right centre spot?

The boys also chat about what could be a grand final-like atmosphere at Leichhardt Oval this Sunday afternoon!

There is also an analysis of where the team is on the"Richo Meter". Are we finally at a good, solid average level? Speaking of Richo, all senior grades achieved victories this weekend, a great achievement, and we give a round of applause to the people who are turning our club around.

There's also a look at an upcoming edition of the Wests Tigers Podcast with a key focus on the next generation of Wests Tigers talent coming through. While Jack Bird also pops up on the agenda with a look at his time with the Wests Tigers, and the reports that he is unwanted by the club for season 2026 (the second year of his two-year deal).

And, of course, there is a mountain of 'One Word' submissions from the ever-growing Wests Tigers Podcast Forum.

We hope you enjoy ANOTHER post-victory edition of the Wests Tigers Podcast!

Big Bye Round Wests Tigers Catch Up
The Wests Tigers players and fans got a chance to catch their breath on the bye round weekend just gone.

Picking up two points in the most straightforward way possible was a welcome change from the stress and agony we've all been feeling recently.

We thought this would also be a perfect opportunity to welcome a new member of the team, Zac Kelsey from the Tiger Town podcast.

Zac has impressed us here at the Wests Tigers Podcast with his knowledge around rugby league and passion for our club, and we look forward to hearing him more often on our podcast.

On his debut with us, Zac is joined by Joel and Nick for a look at the latest Wests Tigers news.

Wests Tigers news up for discussion

This news includes the re-signing of Adam Doueihi on a two-year deal. We discuss the pros and cons of that move, and try to work out where he lines up in 2026.

It also appears that Charlie Staines might be moving on from the club with a deal from the Super League on the table. We look at where that might leave our wing depth.

The Wests Tigers Podcast Forum has been continuing to boom in recent times, and we've been creating some topics and polls that feed nicely into our podcast discussions.

One poll was in regard to what the club's 2026 recruitment priority should be; it was no surprise that a position was considered the priority by the vast majority of respondents. That gets discussed on this edition of the podcast.

We have also listened to the opinions of our forum members, with a number submitting their top 3 reasons to be optimistic about the Wests Tigers' chances in 2026. Joel, Nick, and Zac also give their reasons to be upbeat and list three reasons each around why we should maybe temper our enthusiasm a bit for next year as well.

We hope you enjoy this bye-round edition of the Wests Tigers Podcast and hope to see you soon on the Wests Tigers Podcast Forum.

Wests Tigers Podcast
Wests Tigers Too Hungry For Bulldogs in the Rain
What a memorable afternoon that was! The Wests Tigers trounced those high-flying Bulldogs at Parramatta.

In some of the worst conditions seen at the football in recent memory, Wests Tigers raced out to a commanding lead and managed to hold on for a much-needed two points.

The 28-14 win, and with the bye this weekend, should be enough to ensure that the Wooden Spoon run is over at our club! Hallelujah!

On this edition of the Wests Tigers Podcast, Joel is joined by Steve and Nick to go over the good, bad, and the ugly from Sunday afternoon in the rain.

Some of the specific topics include:
  • The scintillating performance from Adam Doueihi
  • The reports that we've now offered AD a two-year contract
  • Sione and Samuela Fainu's huge contribution to the result
  • How Jahream Bula adds so much to the Tiger's attack
  • And the Wests Tigers remarkable 78% completion rate in attrocious conditions.
Naturally, there's a huge list of 'One Word' submissions from all the members of the Wests Tigers Podcast Forum as well (thank you, everyone who continues to contribute).

A bit of controversy also comes up on the agenda on this pod, including the Alex Seyfarth sin-bin, and why Stephen Crichton didn't get a sit-down after his high shot.

Joel brings up some ongoing concerns over the form of Fonua Pole, Nick has a go at the effort made by Royce Hunt, and we touch on the rather silly video posted after the game by Brent Naden.

And just like the other Wests Tigers fans present at CommBank Stadium on Sunday, Steve lets our former five-eight have it with a spray for the ages!

We hope you enjoy this post-victory edition of the Wests Tigers Podcast and we look forward to this weekend's bye, and to seeing you joining us soon on the Wests Tigers Podcast Forum!

Wests Tigers Podcast
Wests Tigers Podcast: Post Panthers Loss Analysis
A lot is going on at the Wests Tigers Podcast with the edition kicking off a busy week for us.

As you may be aware, we've been collaborating with the boys over at the Wests Tigers Life Podcast, and a new audio and video podcast is about to drop.

In the meantime, Eddie, Declan, and Nick caught up to put not just the game against the Panthers under the microscope, but also a whole range of other Wests Tigers issues.

Firstly, don't forget to check out the Wests Tigers Podcast Forum, where the technical team has been adding in a whole bunch of new features and functions.

You can now even leave audio recording responses on your favourite Wests Tigers topics! Join up today and join in the conversation! The new additions to the forum have created...new additions to the forum with a record number of users and a record number of 'One Word' submissions on this podcast. How many? Well, Eddie had to split the forum member responses into two segments on the podcast.

Other Tiger-related content on this edition of the Wests Tigers Podcast includes a look at whether the 34-point loss to the Panthers says more about them than us.

Did we match them for the first 20 minutes? Should we have taken them on instead of taking the penalty kick? The boys also discuss a topic that seems to be dividing opinion: have we improved or regressed through the year?

Eddie has joined Joel's club, lamenting our lack of punch, variety, and physicality in our forwards, and is concerned things won't improve up front in season 2026. Recruit Jock Madden also comes up for discussion with the boys looking at the role the halfback could or will play for us when he rejoins next year, and what impact it might have on Latu Fainu.

And Eddie also uses an AFL example to show just how hard it can be to turn a football club around.

We hope you enjoy this big edition of the Wests Tigers Podcast!

What Does the Rest of 2025 Look Like for Wests Tigers?
The mid-week edition of the Wests Tigers Podcast is warmed up and ready to go!vEddie is back for another hump-day edition and is joined by Declan and Nick for a look at all things Wests Tigers.

Some of the main talking points on this pod include a final look back at the win over the Titans with Nick and Declan getting their chance to assess the scrappy one-point victory.

There's also a discussion between the boys on what the balance of the 2025 Wests Tigers season looks like. Will it be more of the same? Or has a corner been turned? And what is a pass mark from this point after scoring just two wins out of nine recent matches?

Eddie asks a question that I think any Wests Tigers fan would struggle to answer - has the team improved as the season has progressed?

The star of Sunday afternoon at Leichhardt Oval, Taylan May, also comes in for closer inspection with the boys looking at what he could bring not just for the rest of the season, but in coming seasons too.

There's a discussion on the new long-term contract for Api Koroisau. Will Api's long service at the club make him a Wests Tigers legend?

It wouldn't be a Wests Tigers Podcast without Adam Doueihi being on the run sheet, and this edition is no different. The boys discuss his market worth for the 2026 season.

After being a bit of a Debbie Downer through 2025, Eddie has captured some positivity and may have a little hope for the team in 2026 (amazing what a slim win over the worst team in the comp can do!).

The Panthers clash this weekend is also previewed, and Yioti has gone back in the Wests Tigers time-tunnel for this week's quiz. And don't forget that open invitation, if you haven't already, to join in the discussion on the Wests Tigers Podcast Forum!

Wests Tigers Grab Second Close Win in July
The Wests Tigers have put two valuable points in the bank with an ugly win over the Titans.

In front of a packed Leichhardt Oval crowd, the good guys got home by one point, 21-20, against the Gold Coast. In a period of the club's history where wins are hard to come by, Wests Tigers have now claimed two victories just this month.

On this edition of the Wests Tigers Podcast, Joel and Steve look back at the big afternoon at Leichhardt. It was clunky, sure, but were there any positives to take away from the performance?

How about Taylan May? The boys look at the imposing first-up display of the new Tiger's centre.

Joel and Steve also discuss:
  • Adam Doueihi at lock - is this a long-term position for him?
  • The lethal Wests Tigers left edge
  • Using Api Koroisau off the bench, was it a good move?
  • Ongoing concerns around our defense, especially on the right edge
  • Benji described the game as our worst performance of the year
  • And are we now safe from the wooden spoon?
The boys also share and discuss some cracking comments left by members of the increasingly popular Wests Tigers Podcast Forum.

Speaking of the forum, Joel also goes through a mountain of 'One Word' submissions left in the live game thread after the Titans' game. These submissions range from 'Dysfunctional' to 'Diabolical', and just about everything in between, from a performance that seems to have left many Tiger fans confused about where this team stands.

We hope you enjoy this latest post-victory edition of the Wests Tigers Podcast, and don't forget to catch the mid-week edition with Eddie, with a preview of the Panthers' game this weekend. And join in the discussion now on the Wests Tigers Podcast Forum, where you're wanted and welcome to join our interactive Wests Tigers fan community.

Adel is currently coaching Souths Logan Magpies in the Queensland Cup and was previously at the Wests Tigers working with the club's women's teams.

Some of the main topics on the agenda of this special edition pod are Benji Marshall's strengths and weaknesses as a coach, and a look at Benji's coaching staff and their different roles.

While other topics up for debate and discussion include:
  • Are we progressing enough under Benji?
  • What's a pass mark for the rest of 2025/2026?

This post-victory edition of the Wests Tigers Podcast celebrates that 30-28 win at Allianz Stadium yesterday afternoon.

Some of the key points for discussion include:
  • The performance of all three Fainu brothers
  • The crisp service from Tristan Hope
  • Sunia Turuva impressed as a stand-in fullback
  • Adam Doueihi's work steering the side around
With our three major strike weapons (Api, Luai, and Bula) all set to return to the team in the coming weeks, have we finally turned a corner?

The guys and girls over on the Wests Tigers Podcast Forum also come through with some great 'One Word' contributions post-match.

There were a couple of areas of our play that weren't quite as polished yesterday, and we discussed these.

We also take a look at 'Richo's meter' - are the Tigers slowly moving up to average??Oh, and Steve has a rant about the price of food at the football!

Battered Wests Tigers Prep For Roosters Showdown
It’s the midweek edition of the Wests Tigers Podcast with Eddie, Steve, and Declan. After a promising start to the year, we weary Wests Tigers fans are trying to pick ourselves off the floor, and the podcast boys are no different. There is a preview of our sides clash with the Roosters, a game that potentially has all the hallmarks of a Wests Tigers flogging. But, with the Roosters also missing several star players, are they ripe for a loss in this one? The boys also dig into some of Shane Richardson's quotes on departed hooker, Tallyn De Silva. Was the boss right to let the talented rake walk now? Or is the club continuing to just be the NRL walkovers? Also up for discussion on this edition of the pod is the future of coach Benji Marshall, with the question being - can he withstand this firestorm? Is he too tight with certain players? Should he be joining in at training? And, is he safe beyond 2025? Plus, Eddie, Steve, and Declan rip into a few journalists and ex-players looking for clicks! And Yioti's quiz brings up a player who had big shoes to fill! Don't forget, win, lose, or draw, to leave your 'One Word' submission on the Roosters game in the live match thread on the Wests Tigers Podcast Forum. And feel free to join in the discussion on any Wests Tigers topic as well! Another Tough Time For Wests Tigers Fans
Just when things look like turning at Wests Tigers, we seem to end up back in the doldrums. As things stand, there's not much to be happy or optimistic about, and yes, that does come through on this edition of the Wests Tigers Podcast. After surrendering to an under-strength Manly at Brookvale Oval on Friday night, Wests Tigers fans are now braced to lose another young prospect, Tallyn Da Silva. Reports say the young hooker, touted by former coach Tim Sheens as a generational talent, has played his last game for us. But, in true Wests Tigers fashion, we really could use him, at least this weekend, with Api Koroisau being unavailable due to a failed HIA. Up for discussion on this edition of the podcast is the logic of letting Tallyn go to another club mid-season (although we struggle to find much logic in it). The effects of letting players walk mid-season with nothing or very little in return. We ask, why should the club's loyal members keep tipping in their hard-earned cash when the club consistently gives up on seasons at the mid-way point? And will the team, after six straight losses, now drop its bundle completely? Or, will there be a turnaround? There's a strong list of 'One Word' submissions from the Wests Tigers Podcast Forum, ranging from "Depressing" to "Confused" and 'Groundhog Day". Despite the woes, there are a couple of positives discussed, including another win for the NSW Cup team and the performances of the Fainu brothers on Friday night. Eddie has a new game to bring us as well. Unfortunately, it is another post-loss edition of the Wests Tigers Podcast, but we hope that you do enjoy it.
