These lessons on the Westminster Confession of Faith are given at Covenant Family Church (OPC) in Wentzville, MO by Pastor Peter Bringe. Our Sunday school is open to all ages and meets at 10:00 am. The Westminster Confession of Faith is a rich statement of biblical truth and a time-tested summary of the Christian faith. The Westminster Confession of Faith was created by the Westminster Assembly in the 1640s, along with its larger and shorter catechisms, to serve as the doctrinal standard of the churches of England, Ireland, and Scotland. It was maintained by the Church of Scotland and has been adopted with minor variations by Presbyterian churches wherever they have been established around the world. Church officers in Presbyterian churches such as ours receive and adopt it as containing the system of doctrine taught in the Holy Scriptures. The confession of faith can be online: https://www.opc.org/confessions.html.
