The diaper mafia takes over a special needs school and while attempting to save the kids, Toxie enters an evil mirror dimension, while his monstrous doppelganger enters his.This is full of sleaze, offensive words, actions, punching down, nudity, poop filled diapers smeared on faces, plenty of r*** and some vicious kills. So, yeah, they did it, and it's kind of great in a special, shameful way.So this is like the final Toxie, kind of? I'm assuming the quality levels are wildly different in Macon Blair's version. So this is a goodbye to Kaufman's uneven run (thank christ, and no we will do the stage play version).

This movie is really something. It sets up a pretty hilarious universe full of some of the worst people you could imagine. It gets you excited for vengeance. And then it fills you up with nudity and graphic violence. There should be a masterclass on this thing, and it's apparently a complete fluke that can never be matched (though maybe if they had kept the same writers and directors...).

A sad, shy boy starts recording everything in the hopes he'll catch his dad beating him. He has a cousin/friend who gives him proximity to a normal high school experience. One night, with a third, super friendly charm machine, they discover underground crystals that give them super powers.
"Chronicle" is just great. The found footage angle puts you right into it. Dane Dehan is heartbreaking as the sad boy. Michael B. Jordan as Steve oozes charisma and you truly believe he cares. The cousin character anchors it all as the regular guy along for the ride. I loved this movie when it came out and was afraid it would stink upon rewatch. That was not the case at all. I was more impressed and you couldn't really have a better debut film than this.

This is a "Blue Lagoon" knock-off. It wants to be a grand adventure, a wacky animal farm movie, and a tale of the discovery of sexuality. Does it succeed at all? At any of that?
No. But it is kinda entertaining.
