Starvation Creek Loop is a challenging hike for those seeking elevation gain this is a great trail: with good parking, a nice bathroom, and fantastic views of the Columbia River Gorge.

Brad questioned the difference between a creek, a river, and a stream. A river flows to the ocean. There is no strict definition, but in general, creeks flow to a stream which flows to a river as a tributary.
Brad and I set out for a lovely hike in the Columbia River Gorge at the fantastic Elowah Falls, but poor planning and enthusiasm combined to make a mini failure.
