The common mistake immigrants make even when you're highly-skilled is to immediately get another degree even they recently had one after moving.  There is nothing wrong with that! At the same time when you dig deeper, you are only dealing with the symptoms and not the root cause of your lack of opportunities.  If you are struggling to use your degree and skills to the fullest capacity as you envisioned, then maybe you need a different approach.
