A great Sage and Avadhuta called Bhagavan Venkaiah Swamy is devoted to the Golagamudi Venkaiah Swamy Temple. Bhagavan Sri Venkaiah Swamy is a famous spiritual saint who lived near Nellore in the village of Venkatachalam Mandal.

Golagamudi Venkaiah Swamy History:

Venkaiah Swamy was born to a religious couple. Sompalli Pitchamma and Sri Penchalaiah, a tiny town in Nellore District , Andhra Pradesh, India, as their eldest son at Nagulavellatur.

Bhagavan Sri Venkaiah Swamy has been visiting golagamudi since 1974 and used to live in golagamudi after 1974. In the year 1980 (now it's Swami vari Samadhi mandiram), Swamy set the foundation for building with his own hand. On 22 August 1982, Swami left his body and Swamy Samadhi was built by his adherents in construction (the foundation set by swamy), now it was Swamy vari Samadhi mandiram.

The right side is dhuni in Samadhi mandiram grounds, and the left side is well found. Swamy said it was koti lingala pooja kadaiah about dhuni, meaning if you do pooja for dhuni, the outcome is equal to one main Siva Lingas pooja worship.
